Tired of the ordinary vacation? Not to say Wildwood, N.J. isn’t a great time, there are just so many alternative vacation ideas for groups of friends to take this summer that may not be the obvious first choice.

Try taking a road trip across the country. It will take about a week to get to the west coast, which gives leaves another week to get back to the east coast. With rising gas prices, this may be a bit to expensive though. If all the members of your group pitch in for gas money, it shouldn’t burn that much of a hole in the pocket. Iftraveling all the way to the west coast sounds unappealing and money is still an issue, pick a theme. Tour all the different baseball parks up and down the east coast or spend a day in various amusement parks.

It’s staggering how many people that live in a particular city don’t even know their city. Spend aday or even a weekend downtown being a tourist. To make it seemlike a real vacation, get a hotel room in the heart of the city. If home is the suburbs of
