Architectural Design Studio I Prof. Domenico Chizzoniti team: L. Maiorca, D. Marcon, S. Dellatorre The project proposes a design theme regarding the consolidation of one of the cultural systems of Prague around the “citadel of the legendary ghetto. It considers the central tissue of Stare Mesto, outlined in the ideal triangulation that from Staromestske Namesti spread the vertices represented by Sv Mikulas, Rudolfinum and Klaster Sv Anezky Ceske. The theme proposed covers the rehabilitation of the area around Klaster Sv Anezky Ceske, founded in 1234, currently museum of Czech painting and sculpture. The main theme proposed is a museum, articulated through the return of the typological structure of the cloistered convent, in support of existing exhibition, and deployment of a new structure for the Ghetto Memorial Museum of the ancient city, in the adjacent area between the street Kozi, u Milosrdnych and na Frantisku, near the river Vltava.

Architectural Design Studio II Prof. Michele Giovanni Caja team: L. Maiorca, D. Marcon Object of this laboratory is a project of a residential building, a mixed uses building – commercial functions, offices, residential housing – inserted inside a specific compact block structure, divided in parcels. The project founds itself on the critical re-reading of historical and recent examples, analyzed in the composition of their parts and single founding elements and their strict relation to urban scale, like the street front, the inner court, the compact development. This relation measures itself with a particular and unique location of the historical city: the block structure of the Friedrichstadt in Berlin, defined by a regular grid of streets and typical parcellized blocks. The final proposal is a building with three different functions. At ground floor and first floor there is a commercial gallery with shops and bars, upstairs there are residentisal apartments with different shapes and measures that can fits different types of families, and on the top floor there is an open terrac that can be used from all the building’s inhabitants.

Architectural Design Studio III Prof. Francesca Scotti team: L. Maiorca, D. Marcon, C. Caravello Object of our work is the project of a part of city. It should be able to bring to a unitary system the relations between different parts and elements outside the area and to propose a new lecture of the area. The project will found itself on a ongoing relationship with the analysis of the city and its elements and on a critical study of an idea of shared contemporary city, of its elements and forms. My team worked on a part of the new masterplan for the Scalo of Porta Romana , located in the southern-east side of Milan. The design is a small neighboorhood of row-houses crafted in a way that can satisfy different type of users. We deisgned three different typologies that will go under the name of “ S, M, L “. I personally design the “ S “ typology. The house is fitted for a family of 3 people. With an open space that functions as kitchen and living room, the first floor is the night area with the master bedroom a children’s room.

Traveling tailors provide a personal service to their customers and give them the opportunity to see the fabric samples and meet the tailor in person. After taking measurements the customer will receive at home their order within 3 - 4 weeks. Traveling tailors measure and fit new clients, meet up with old clients for periodic updating of their wardrobes and tweetinf of past puchases if needed. Since the narrow shape of the voi used for the design, we decided to develope our design upward. At the ground there is a glass entrance to the building, with a little green rest area in the back side. The firsts two floor are accupied by the tailor’s atelier, at the top of the stairs, there is a reception to welcome the clients, that leads to the exihibition space, where meetings happens and bove we designed a dressing area. Laboratories are located at the third floor, full equipped to work on site. And the last two floors are used as a two bedroom apartment that includes a fully equipped kitchen and living room

The area used for the deisgn is located the Navigli Area of Milan, very close to the Tortona Design District. The main goal of the laboratory was the re-use of an urban void located in city’s heart. After defining the type of user we decied to use this void in Viale Coni Zugna for it’s very narrow shape that allowed to design to develop in height.

Internship Arch. Francesco Pappalardo Siracusa, Italy
The project involves the renovation af a three levels family house in Siracusa. I personally designed the Basement floor. After meeting the clients and reviewing the rest of the projected, the final product is a plasterboard wall with a fireplace and a wall library with space for a big TV to be watched on a sofa.

Maquettes & Photography Here there is a selectoin of models made during the bachelor degree regarding the main laboratory’s project. I also decided to put some of my favourites shoot that i took during these past years in important places that i visited. The photos are representetive because they shows my passions such as architecture, design and travels. In clockwise sense: “Ago, filo e nodo” in Milan, Italy; typical row house in the canals in Amsterdan, Netherlands; “Houlocaust Memorial” in Berlin, Germany; “Duomo Cathedral” in Siracusa, Italy.
