I was born in Rieti on the 25th January, 1991. After High School Diploma, obtained at the Liceo Ginnasio Statale M.T. Varrone with the final grade of 83/100, I started studying at the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia, University of "La Sapienza", of Rome, in 2010. In 2014 I graphically collaborated for an archaeological publication in the Rome area. The same year I joined the Erasmus + program at the École Nationale Supérieure de Architecture de Nancy (ENSAN) in France. During the french academic year I approached much more the practical thought of doing and thinking architecture, reaching the grade of 18/20 and 17/20 in both the project I made. I improved also the attention for artistic activities and I learned how to work with foreign students. In 2015 I opened my own profile on the web site 99design, where I have been selected as finalist in an open logo contest for twice. After my Erasmus+ experience, I'm now finishing my studies in Rome, where I'm working to a thesis project about the rehabilitation and extension of the ancient first italian sugar refinery located in Rieti. Meanwhile, I am actively collaborating with the Erasmus office of the faculty.

MAAR
MAAR is an arts and architeture museum about “Razionalismo”, an italian architecture movement developped in 1930 all over the country. In Latina is still evident more than in the other cities. MAAR wants to create an attractive pole, generating life in a place between the city and the countryside. The building is made by simple and essential blocks according to Razionalismo thoughts. It’s concentrated on the left side of the area to not hide the surrounding enviroment and let the visitor enjoy the nature since the first look. The only breaking element is the brise-soleils system that works as light protection for the residential block.

According to urban shapes, the building works on a three levels museum. The central auditorium presents a rotation of 90° instead of the other blocks, in order to permit his division from the artists’s apartments on his back. The regularity of the building is totally twisted by the internal stairs, cause their purpose is to liven up the rest.

The reconversion of the ex buses depot it’s been a ]subject of discussion for years. This area still remains an important void in a famous district in Rome, near the ancient city center. Since the site is full of potential, the residents want to take it back for spending there their free time activities. The idea is to demolish a part of the old depot to create an archeological open air park. It’s going to integrate the other one below the site. The depot is surrounded by walls, but my project is designed to be visible from the outside, thanks to his two “eyes” looking at the district and receiving the indoor activities (museum, school of arts, restaurants,…).

Two charming wood-covered centers will give new visibility to the depot. The little mountains or new eyes of Bainsizza integrate themself with the existing buildings. In particular the museum and library building it’s like is growing up from the subsoil, starting from the openair auditorium and climbing with the big stairs to lean out on the road.

jenga building This urban infill is situated nearby the famous San Giovanni district in Rome. From the site, just leaning out beyond the trees , the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano is clearly visible. Since it’s due the new subway stop there, the district is quickly growing up. The idea of a “Jenga Building” takes place to enjoy the view of the church from each living room of the apartments. Besides, his morphology is justified by the inspiring Angelo di Castro’s apartment building, close to the area and the characteristic “bugnato” ]treatment of the neighbouring building basements.

The idea is to create a pile of several blocks that could slide or move to reach a different goal: for example, having an exclusive view of the church, catching up the sun or just having a space for a balcony toward the road or the backyard. Every block evolution is developped in order to have a relation with the “bugnato basement of the opposite building.

06.2014
tragliatella Tragliatella is a kind of backward place near Rome, where there is still no urban development. The intervention wants to be the fuel for the evolution of the site, since the idea is to have a self-sufficient and ecological element, that can be multiplied all over the free lots of the area. The house prototype takes place from the “patio type”, repeated in order to create 4 single elements, linked each other with a consequence of private and public spaces. It should be considered asan only block, where the continuous cover works, first as an usual cover and then as sunshade. Every apartment uses materials like prefabricated concrete walls, wood walls and standard windows.

A small and repeated house exploits the environment opportunity. The space between the apartment canalizes the wind to refresh during the summer, but it’s thought to stop the wind during the winter. The living room is almost completely glazed to take advantage of thesun, while the rooms are designed to be placed at the back, looking at the Tragliatella’s land.

sketch of future view from the inside - Vandeouvre (Nancy)

les cours In the huge area of the ex military hospital Sédillot in Vandeouvre-le-Nancy, the purpose is a residential extension and reconversion of ancient buildings. The area looks at the Cimitière du Sud at south and it’s marked by a railway nearby the road. The project proposes the theme of the court that characterizes the backyard of the old principal building. All the buildings located in the shelter of a road are bigger than the one inside. A massive building along the road has an introvert essence , acting as a screen from the railway. Hidden by the big one, the second central “L” building is smaller, standing and keeping his intimacy.

The pursuit of this project is to create three courtyards where commun life can take place, sheltered from the surrounding roads. The linear building is like a big wall of wood, that looks like an introverted elements but actually mutable grace to his rolling panels. It’s totally in contrast with the familiar “L building.

The interior retraining and the extension of the choreo-graphic center of Nancy - Le Ballet Nationale de Lorraine wants to be a prompt sign. It’s not just an architectural intervention (inside the ancient shoes fabric and outside - the new building) but also a rethinking of the urban district. The site represents an urban void because and the building is surrounded by historical constructions. The new project aim is to have a deal with them, exalting and respecting, but without overhanging them. The three levels elevation, the rhythm of the covering and the height variation of the two blocks are inspired by the neighboring buildings.

The extension of the choreographic center in Nancy starts from the conscientious analysis of the nearby historical building which is the only survivor of the old shoe factory visible by the street. The new building is integrated with the dance school but it can work even alone. Is ďŹ lled with public destinations such as the new auditorium, the expo hall and a little cafeteria
