Parras de la Fuente is the least reached city of the North Mexican State of Coahuila.
Parras de la Fuente is a town that was founded around a spring fed water source in the mid-1400’s. It is home to the oldest winery in North and South America (Casa Madero founded 1597), and has been called the birth place of Mexico’s independence. It is an incredible town with as much character as it has history.

R E A C H I N G PA R R A S Pastor Candelario moved to Parras, Coahuila in Feb after almost 20 years in ministry in Matamoros.
Candelario and his family have been in ministry for over 20 years. They served children in a Casa Hogar in Matomoros, Mexico for many years before planting a church in Santa Adelaida just outside of Reynosa. His church has suffered tremendously over the last several years as the drug cartel presence in his community has caused many of his congregants to move into the city. Pastor Candelario taught in the Matamoros Baptist Seminary. He was the President of the Tamoulipas Baptist Association. He graduated from Perspectives in the World Christian Movement. Pastor Candelario and his family bring an incredible Godly family to a community desperate for a genuine disciple-making Pastor. Please consider supporting this disciple-making movement in this historic and least reached city.

Pastor Candelario and his family moved to Parras in Feb of 2015. In their first 6 months they have been able to rent a home, and start serving the under-served youth and children of one of the poorest neighborhoods. Candelario is a gifted Carpenter and has experience building furniture. We are seeking specific financial gifts that will help Candelario purchase his first set of wood to start his carpentry company. This will be a great tool to build relationships in Parras with both the business community and the retail sectors. Wood is expensive in Parras and as such Candelario will have to travel to other cities to purchase the needed lumber.
PRAY: Commit to being a daily prayer supporter for the ministries in Parras. There are three that Candelario interacts with in some way aside from the Churches. Pray for the ministries of Vida Nueva, Mexico Outreach, and REAL Network. Pray that God will use these ministries to make His name known among the peoples of Parras and beyond. Our hope and goal is to develop a Bible Institute to train, mobilize, mentor, and model disciple-making pastoring. Pray that God will rally the people and resources to bring this vision to fruition.
