STILL WITHOUT NAME #3 COLOURS OF LIFE

PREFACE #3 You are holding the third issue of the comics zine Still Without Name (SW/ON). We were surprised that the theme "Colours of Life" for some of the artists assosiated with the images of war and death rather than with pleseant feelings of the blooming spring. A strange coincidence appeared at the time we were preparing the new issue - an avalanche of tragic events hit Ukraine, where chaos and blood flled the streets. It was quite strange to see on the news those tricolor fags billowing among the barricades, just in line with our risograph colors: black, blue, red.
Unfortunately, at the moment we started printing black colour drum just stopped working, and so only two colours left from three. Therefore, what you see here do not necessarily refect what was imagined by artists. Let's say it is our self-will and improvisation for what you will forgive us.
In any case, we do not declare war against anyone. Along with the authors of this issue we just want to remind you that war does not create anything, it only kills. And it applies to any form of war - whether it is the Third World War or the war in our minds, in the streets, in our relationships. Colours of Life is not only colours of war. It is also love, travelling, dreams and much much more that help us to survive. That is what the issue and our stories about.

ĮVADAS #3 Rankose laikote jau trečiąjį komiksų zino "Vis dar be pavadinimo" numerį. Paskelbę temą "Gyvenimo spalvos" kiek nustebome, kad kai kuriems autoriams ji sukėlė ne malonius ateinančio pavasario jausmus, bet karo ir mirties vaizdinius. Taip jau nutiko, kad tuo metu, kai rengėme šį numerį, liūdnų įvykių lavina užgriuvo Ukrainą, kur chaosas ir kraujo troškulys vis labiau pasklido po miestus ir jų gatves. Buvo gana keista per žinias matyti tarp barikadų besiplaikstančias trispalves vėliavas, atitinkančias mūsų risografo spalvas: juoda, mėlyna, raudona.
Deja, pradėjus spausdinimą netikėtai iš rikiuotės išėjo juodos spalvos būgna ir vietoj trijų spalvų liko dvi. Todėl tai ką matysite čia, nebūtinai atitinka tai ką įsivaizdavo menininkai. Tebūnie tai mūsų savivalė ir improvizacija už kurią Jūs mums atleisite.
Kad ir kaip bebūtų, šiuo zinu mes niekam neskelbiame karo. Kartu su autoriais mes tik norime priminti, kad karas nieko nekuria, tik žudo. Tai vienodai liečia bet kokias karo formas - ar tai būtų trečiasis pasaulinis, ar karas mūsų galvose, gatvėse, santykiuose. Gyvenimo spalvos - tai ne vien karo spalvos. Tai ir meilė, ir kelionės, ir sapnai, ir dar daug kas, kas padeda išgyventi. Apie tai ir šis numeris, apie tai mūsų pasakojimai.
