Rules of the Game Backgammon
Objective
Move all your checkers into your home board and bear them off before your opponent.
Setup
Each player starts with 15 checkers, placed according to the standard starting position.
Movement
Roll two dice to determine how far you can move. Each die represents a separate move for one checker. Moves must land on open points (not occupied by 2+ opponent checkers).
Hitting
If a point has only 1 opponent checker, you can land there, sending their checker to the bar.
Re-entering
Checkers on the bar must re-enter the opponent’s home board before making other moves.
Bearing off
Once all your checkers are in your home board, you can start bearing them off (removing them based on dice rolls).
Winning
The first player to bear off all their checkers wins.
