ying opposite Dawlish on the mouth of the river Exe is the beautiful town of Exmouth. This particular gem

on the outline of Devon’s coastline is renowned for its Jurassic heritage, warm welcomes and stunning views. Exmouth town is by no means a one legged horse. The town is connected via coastline to various places such as Sidmouth, Topsham and Budleigh Salterton. So whether you like the view, love the food or just friendly local conversation, there is something for everybody. If your coming to Exmouth to absorb some history then Orcombe point is a great place to visit.

Fronted by sandy beaches and a small river running through the centre of the town where you can see it flow straight into the sea. It annually hosts Dawlish Air Show which brings in people in their thousands.

Dawlish Warren boasts a fun day out for all the family. Including go-karting, rollercoaster and an 18 hole crazy golf course with a view of the Nature Reserve as well as the beautiful coast to name a few. If you are a keen twitcher, Dawlish Warren’s Nature Reserve brings people in their flocks, rated as the second most important Nature Reserve in Devon. Species include Plover, Snipe and Shoveler. The reserve also contains rep-

Dawlish and Dawlish Warren are on the Riviera Railway Line, which shows off some of the most beautiful sites in the UK with the red sandstone cliffs. The train line into both places, takes you right into the centre of the fun!

urrounded by farmland and forest, these tranquil waters on the eastern side of Dartmoor are a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of everyday

life. This quiet and peaceful walk absorbs two beautiful reservoirs as the path takes you around the lakes in a figure-of-eight. There are plenty more paths for you to extend your walk if you are feeling adventurous. The scenery around Trenchford and Tottiford is beautiful, from the dusky and calm water to the towering woodland that surrounds the idyllic reservoirs. After parking your car in the car park by Trenchford, keep the reservoir on your left and follow the track next to the water. Soon you will meet a country road, which you need to follow along, past a breathtaking panoramic view of Trenchford reservoir and then along a tree-enclosed road. This is the road that will take you to the dam, which separates the two reservoirs. Absorb the beautiful views for a moment, then cross the dam and take the right path. It is reasonably simple to navigate around the reservoirs, but don’t stick to the paths – remember to EXPLORE.
