Two-Piers, the label that brought you ‘Pop Psychédélique (The Best of French Psychedelic Pop 1964-2019)’, bring you ‘Waves of Distortion (The Best of Shoegaze 1990-2022), a magical journey through the history of the Shoegaze scene from its inception to the current exponents on the scene championing the sound. A perfect introduction to all that is glorious and great about ‘Shoegaze’.
Where last year’s album, joyful in tone, yet brooding with heavyweight lyrical themes, came together as an exploration of the isolated ideas of each band member, new album “Eight” is formed of songs recorded purposefully to appear together on an album. There is also a greater depth of integration, which means that it’s more difficult to tell which member of the band the song originated with.

American songwriter Julie Byrne returns with The Greater Wings, her first record in six years, out July 7th, 2023, on Ghostly International.
Four years on from his explorative third full-length ‘Aquamarine,’ Londoner Ash Walker returns with an equally ambitious follow-up, set for releaseon 30th June.
Navigating grief, intimacy, and transformation, Byrne widens her signature sound with synth, piano, harp, and strings, emerging with the most powerful, lustrous, and lifeaffirming music of her career.

Venetian electronic visionary Gigi Masin has enjoyed a revival in recent years through his Calypso album on R&S’s Apollo label. ‘Dolphin’ is Greg and Gigi’s very first collaboration together. Recorded remotely during 20212022 and featuring Moses Boyd (drums) and Tom Herbert (bass), the album took shape through mutual compositions, gradually developed and embellished online.
