Grizzlies firmly establish national tennis dynasty

The men’s tennis team celebrates its fifth national championship.

One word on the back of t-shirts worn by GGC tennis players this spring summed up the program’s success in its first six seasons of existence: Dynasty.

Coach Chase Hodges’ Grizzlies have proven themselves to be a national power in collegiate tennis – at any level – with the following lofty accomplishments:

• Winning nine out of 10 National

Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national titles and being runner-up for the other title • Five consecutive national championships for the men’s team • Four national titles for the women’s team, including three straight • With 82 consecutive wins, the men have the longest active winning streak in all of intercollegiate athletics • The men’s team is the first to win NAIA

National Championships for each of its first five years of postseason eligibility
