Small Business Field Officers Small Business Field Officer Program The role of the Small Business Field Officers is to assist the growth of small businesses in the region by providing information and advice on the Government services available for small business operators. Small Business Field Officers deliver a FREE confidential advisory service, providing a vital resource and Government link to the small business sector. They provide practical on the ground assistance throughout regional Australia; particularly in areas of unmet need. The Goldfields Esperance Area Consultative Committee (GEACC) employs two Small Business Field Officers to service the Goldfields Esperance region. From these towns, our Officers service the Shires of Laverton, Leonora, Menzies, Coolgardie, Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Dundas, Esperance and Ravensthorpe. The Small Business Field Officers are available to visit your place of business anywhere within the Goldfields Esperance region to discuss any issues you may have. Examples of assistance we provide include: • • • • • •
Information on Australian Government programs; Assistance with taxation, business planning, marketing and employment issues; Information on available funding programs and grants; Creating networking opportunities between businesses in the region; Informing the Australian Government of issues affecting the local business sector Providing information sessions to improve business skills
