Christmas Island District High School aims for a culturally inclusive education that enables students to develop a positive and healthy self concept. Together, we strive for students who: • are self motivated learners • develop personal excellence whilst working with others • are adaptive to a changing world
CODE OF CONDUCT
Students are encouraged to accept responsibility for their own behaviour within the school code of conduct as follows: All staff and students regardless of race, gender, age or disability have the RIGHT to: • work without being disturbed by others • take part without fear of ridicule of intimidation • work in a clean and safe environment • have his/her individual property respected
All staff and students regardless of race, gender, age or disability have the RESPONSIBILTY to: • respect other peoples rights to work • treat other people with respect • keep the environment clean and safe • respect other peoples property
We encourage all students to respect the Code of Conduct. By doing the right thing you help create a caring, supportive environment that benefits everyone. If students are unable to work within the Code of Conduct we have a Behaviour Management Policy which aims to help students identify problem behaviours and make improvements. Christmas Island DHS
