About The College
Vision Statement Xavier College is a Catholic School in the Jesuit Tradition. Our aim is to develop reflective, compassionate and articulate men and women of Christian faith and hope, who will give service and leadership in our world.
Mission Statement Xavier College is a Catholic school for boys and girls (K-4) within the spiritual tradition of St Ignatius Loyola. The staff is committed to this Jesuit tradition which seeks to enable students to find God in all things, to live out their vocation in life according to the variety of their gifts and to serve others. The tradition strives to engender in students a lifelong love of learning. We have a personal concern for the intellectual integrity and the whole life of each student. We look not only to intellectual formation but also to his spiritual, moral, aesthetic, physical, social and emotional development. We, staff, parents and students of Xavier, share both a dream and a unique challenge to become men and women for others, people of competence, conscience and compassionate commitment.
We are committed to building a Christian community of staff, students, parents and alumni in which initiative, creativity and the involvement of all are valued.
We place a strong emphasis on the growing ability to reflect and communicate effectively and we encourage the creative use of the imagination wedded to clear, logical, articulate reasoning.
We strive at Xavier, to give students a desire and the requisite preparation, to serve God in the world and to have, especially, a committed and practical concern for the poor. We look to the formation of potential leaders who will make an explicit connection between their Christian faith and their work for justice in the world, serving the vision of the Beatitudes.
We seek to prepare students to be critically open to all aspects of our culture and to integrate faith and reason through bold engagement in the world. We prize wisdom in our graduates. 2
