Axonometries of the island at high and low tide
Off the coast of Brittany’s Finistère quivers the Iroise sea, famous for its dangerous channels and iconic lighthouses. But this at-risk territory is also home to respectful fishing techniques that add a purposevalue to the landscape. Drawing from naval architecture’s language, the project seizes the opportunity of constructing on the foreshore, between land and water, to offer a meeting point around fish transformation. Preceding the master project, a theoretical research led to the publication of an essay on the lighthouses of the Iroise sea, the story of their genesis, their position in the contemporary territory and the caracteristics of their architecture. The aim of this work is to go beyond their iconic image to understand their legacy.

1. Free the central spine from its teaching rooms 2. Densify the exterior branches with new uses
3. Launch the new EPFL Student Center

Building on the actual tendency of dematerialization of the ex-cathedra lesson and the ensuing need for alternative learning spaces, our utopia envisions a rehabilitation of the original superstructure of the EPFL. Along its structural grid, the center is freed from its partitioning and becomes the new Student Center, a showcase for the swiss campus, while the exterior branches welcome new uses (labs, workshops, housing..)

On agricultural land near central Lisboa, a modernist portuguese architect imagined a school on a hill at the center of the new housing area. Our proposal for its renovation is to place it at the core of a park which offers shade to the children going to school or on family walks. Various pavilions with public or playful programs enliven the way throughout the neighbourhood.

A thorough analysis of the actual state of the ground floor openings of this 1904 serie of buildings led us to a hypothesis of the initial state of the woodworkings. Dealing with both the scale of the whole street façade and that of the carpentry details, our project wishes to restore the lost alignments and symmetries while meeting contemporary thermal requirements.

Housing towers from the 70s often need a whole renovation to upgrade them to the current norms of insulation and comfort. In Fribourg, we took this as an opportunity to improve the existing buildings, and to propose an extension that would call into question the urban condition of the tower and address the issue of contemporary minimal housing.

The SIA (swiss society of engineers and architects) office in Lausanne operates in two beautiful high-ceiling spaces that needed a reorganisation of the functions and additional storage space. We proposed a three-dimensional structure that would accomodate all the uses while drawing the attention of the passerby to the venue and its role.

In central Lille, two canals were dug to circulate goods during the industrial era. Today, their role is less urgent, they become barriers in the city. This condition can be an opportunity to connect west and east, north and south, through a walk along the water, and to propose new dynamic programs in the rehabilitated docks.

Re-imagining the contemporary workspace was the theme of this project. In a trendy neighbourhood near the Limmat in Zurich, small start-ups can gather in a multi-functional building where a series of public and common spaces spiralling throughout it offer them all the necessary commodities.

During 6 months, I worked in a small architecture office in Lausanne. I had the opportunity to work autonomously on the submission of the building permit for an individual villa in Apples. I also participated in the elaboration of the execution plans for the renovation of the Saint Redempteur church in Lausanne, specifically the exterior layout and the interior choir.

In Buenos Aires, I worked in a collective where architects, designers, informaticians, shared one common space. I worked autonomously on the conception and realization of a stand for an exhibition fair, Exposustenta. We had no budget, but a sponsoring agreement with El Espartano, a company specialized in wool carpets and artificial turf.

Our job was to put into volume different key-areas of the projects, in order to facilitate the research and resolution of problematic points.
