What Makes Us Different?
Part 1: The Patient Relationship

So many people are doing skin, filler, botox or laser, it’s no wonder a consumer bounces from office to office, med spa to med spa, looking for the best experience and value they can find. Let’s ‘face’ it, if a client is getting a killer deal and the result is locked-on, why bounce?
As the Client Coordinator for Rejuvené MedSpa, I can tell you I hear feedback from clients regularly that ranges from ‘feeling like cattle’ or ‘being rushed’ to ‘it didn’t work’ and ‘I didn’t see a difference’.
Any of these experiences would understandably compel someone to shop around for an elevated interface but all of them connect back to the fundamentals of building a relationship.
It is our best practice to engage in a conversation from the beginning that is based on a generous amount of consultation time. Our first step is to not just learn the client objective and blurt out a price, but to take the time to hear their history with the challenges they want to address. This dialogue is a deep dive into what has been done to solve issues in the past and always meanders into learning about a client’s personal philosophy, lifestyle and comfort zone.
Another distinguishing practice of ours is to verbally chart the entire laundry list of needs and wants to build a one-of-a-kind comprehensive plan that is usually implemented over a longer period of time and priced to be reasonable and sustainable.
When I say ‘comprehensive’ I mean, we want to hear everything: thinning hair, lip lines, veins around the nose, hormonal brown patches, saggy jowls, pockets of ab and flank fat, darkness under eyes, hairy lips and chins, incontinence, being overweight, low energy, sunken cheeks, thin lips, fat chins, no to low sex drive, damaged skin anywhere on the body and don’t forget the post-partum stomach, the ultimate badge of honor! Our consultation is patient and thoughtful, which sets the tone for a long and respectful relationship.
If someone feels rushed, unheard or unimportant or doesn’t understand what will happen in a treatment room and when to expect results, I’d say it’s because they haven’t tried us.
We have acclimated to the ever-popular Zoom platform and have made it a standard for all initial inquiries. It makes such a difference to speak with and actually see a prospect before they come in. We have found this meet-and-greet a wonderful step in truly doing the work before someone swipes a card and jumps on the table.
