Louis Kraml - The Secret To My Success
Throughout my time in the health care industry I have experienced an inordinate quantity of success. So much so that, at times, my family, friends and professional acquaintances have expressed a sense of wonder when considering my achievements:they say things like, ‘Louis, are you just really lucky?’ Sure, I’ve had good luck but what I always tell them is that real success depends on more than just luck: realsuccess depends on hard work, determination, and a refusal to give up even when faced with seemingly insurmountable problems.
From Day One I’ve adopted this kind of approach to my life and it has won me many accolades. Hard work is never something that you should neglect if you want to be successful in your chosen field and that’s the most important advice that I can give people. So where did I develop the work ethos that I would maintain for my professional life? Even in my early childhood (or so my mother tells me) I was stubborn and determined to be the best at everything.
This work ethic was something that I carried with me to university, and meant that throughout the course of my Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences at Quincy University I consistently produced work of an above average quality and easily passed my classes with flying colors It was this work ethic that got me through my Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration at Webster University, too. I have always striven to do my best in any circumstances, in both my professional and personal life. Every problem is simply there to be overcome.
This is why when people ask me my success I always tell them the same thing: that even if luck had something to do with it, luck is no replacement for a solid work ethic and the refusal to give up. Too many people give up before they ever really start but if you are serious about your dreams you have to cling to the belief that they can be accomplished even when it feels like the world is telling you ‘no.’
