INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION SHEET FOR REINFORCEMENT SYSTEMS MRF-01 WARNING 1. Failure to comply with all instructions may result in serious injury. 2. Make sure this kit fits your stage. Before installing this kit, identify all kit components. If any components are missing or damaged, return the kit to place of purchase. Do not substitute any components. 4. Inspect the stage before installing this kit. Repair or replace any damaged or missing stage parts before using the stage. Use only Louisville Ladder Inc. replacement parts. If unable to repair, discard the stage. TOOLS NEEDED FOR ASSEMBLY: TWO ½” WRENCHES
INSTRUCTIONS: STEP 1 This kit is required when installing a guardrail system to the following planks: • •
ALL P1 series (1 man) Planks. ALL 5’ -16’ long P2 series (2 man) planks.
STEP 2 Remove and separate small, medium and long web brace subassemblies ①, ② and ③ from box as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 2 For web brace installation in combination with a guardrail system, refer to assembly instructions provided with guardrail post kit MPT-01 For web brace installation without guardrail system, proceed to Step 5. STEP 5 Place interlocked web brace from Step 4 between side rails and align with two bottom holes in side rail. Secure using (2) 5/16 -18 x 7/8’’ bolts ④ and locknuts ⑤. Slide other half of web brace against opposite side rail and secure in same manner as shown in Figure 3.
Figure 1 STEP 3 Measure width of plank. For planks 12 or 14 inches wide, the small ① and medium ② subassemblies used. Planks 20, 24 or 28 inches wide use the medium ② and long ③ subassemblies. STEP 4 Align and interlock and slide together appropriate subassemblies as shown in Figure 2. Web brace is now ready for installation to plank.

LOUISVILLE LOUISVILLE LADDER PLANKS AND STAGE STEP 6 To complete assembly, secure sliding web brace from movement by inserting (2) 5/16-18 x 1 1/2’’ bolts ⑥ and locknuts ⑦ in the proper adjustment holes that line up in each half of the web brace as shown in Figure 3.
