PROCEDURE FOR REPLACING OF LOCK FOR EXTENSION LADDER
1. - If ladder side rail is damaged in any way, do not repair. Discard Ladder. Making sure that the ¼” drill bit is centered or the rivet head and being careful not to enlarge the rivet holes in the ladder side rail drill through the thickness of the rivet head that fasten the damaged lock assemblies to the ladder side rail.
2. – If rivet head does not fall off, gently tap with chisel and hammer. Keep chisel parallel to ladder rung while tapping with the hammer.
3. – With head of rivet removed, tap rivet on through using a 3/16” diameter punch and hammer.

4. – Attach new lock to ladder side rail with machine bolts and locknuts as shown figure.
