COOKIE BEATS Our music label is a marriage between high quality, contemporary musicianship with classic children’s songs. We have created a label called Cookie Beats which keeps parents up on the latest music trends while giving their kids the fun music they love to sing along to. Contemporary bands and pop stars perform covers of children’s classics, making music that is enjoyable to listen to for both parents and kids. Our music attracts itself to the taste of the parents initially, but the kids will keep on listening, making these the songs they grow up with. This music will be perfect for long car rides with the kids, hanging around the house, or simply as a way to introduce your children to your favorite en vogue bands.

LOGO GRID The logo has its aesthetic foundations based on a technique resembling the actual paper cut technique. Even though this technique has some naturally occurring imperfections because it is made by hand, we implemented 3 different widths to give the logo a more consistent and harmonious appearance.

CLEAR SPACE The clear space is the smallest distance allowed between the logo and any other graphic object; logo, physical or digital page edge, copy etc. Think of it as the logo’s comfort zone.

LOGO SIZING
The logo has no maximun size, but when applied smaller than xxcm the logo should be applied without the “bajada�.
Without losing the essence of being a kids brand, the logo is focused on the parents audience, with its retro, yet fresh, style. There is no maximun size for applying the logo.
When applying the logo smaller than 5cm the correct way is to use it without the claim.

COLOR VARIATIONS As Cookie Beats is a brand focused on kids, there is more than one option of color implementation. These logo options are meant to be implemented as presented here, in this combination. The tagline should always be applied white font over black background when the logo is applied over these colors.

COLOR PALETTE The color palette of the brand is an evolution from the primary colors, but with a touch of sophistication. This palette has a retro style, focusing on the parents audience.

PAPERCUTE FONT FAMILY PaperCute is a cute hand-drawn typography designed by Fanny Coulez and Julien Saurin for La Goupil Paris. It is easy to read and inspired by paper cutting. Small caps are a little different than caps to create alternative glyphs. A pack of cute paper ornaments comes with the font, to enhance designs. This type can be easily associated with kids and their games. The irregular forms gives us the feeling of uniqueness that is in every kid and in every song. This font will be used only for headings. The brand also applies this font on top of stripes and they are cut out from the stripes in order to see the background and make more effective the papercut effect. This also serves as a functional way to gain contrast, and shadows are applied to increase this effect.

BRANDON FONT FAMILY Brandon Grotesque is a sans serif type family of six weights plus matching italics. It was designed by Hannes von Dรถhren in 2009/10. Influenced by the geometricstyle sans serif faces that were popular during the 1920s and 30s, the fonts are based on geometric forms that have been optically corrected for better legibility. Brandon Grotesque has a functional look with a warm touch. While the thin and the black weights are great performers in display sizes the light, regular and medium weights are well suited to longer texts. The small x-height and the restrained forms lend it a distinctive elegance. Brandon Grotesque is equipped for complex, professional typography. The OpenType fonts have an extended character set to support Central and Eastern European as well as Western European languages. For this brand it will only be used the Black and regular variables combined. And will be used for paragraph texts and secondary sentences. This font should never be applied smaller than 7pt. The brand uses sometimes this typography with the kearning very opened up when is working alone and not in paragraphs.

USING FONTS PAPERCUTE FONT This font is used to play with morphology and colour. Increasing the papercut aspect and adding identity to the brand.
PAPER CUT STRIPES This type is in relation with several color stripes which follow the same concept.

VINYL COLLECTION The presented collection is of soundtracks from classic kid´s movies which are covered by trendy bands or artists. The idea is to represent the film in an iconic way, and to really highlight the name of the artist/band. In this way the illustrations will attract children and the artists will attract parents.
