New for 2018 is a NZ and Australian compliant operable balustrade system, engineered to heights up to 3000mm high.

Our Spiral Pivot sun louvre operating systems has been upgraded to incorporate a structural frame for free standing fixing – the new Super Elam Street system.

In response to an increasing demand for larger fixed and operable louvres we now offer Ultra 50 Rectangular Louvres – 300 mm, 450mm & 600mm wide.

We have also included the range of louvres designed to fit with our Coastal Series Sliding, Bi-folding and Hinged shutters – ideal for marine environments.

Custom made – we also specialise in custom designed gates, fences, balustrades, chimney surrounds and the like. Specifically designed made to measure installations.

Motorised

Louvretec’s Spiral Pivot system is hidden away within the custom pivot frame.

OVERHEAD PANEL

Powered by Somfy, there is now a choice of a structural frame including the motor, or the motor sitting externally above, below or to the side, all within an extruded housing.

Hand Operated

Spiral Pivot can also be hand operated with an easy turn custom gearbox and removable stainless steel crank handle.

Motorised Super Elam Street Structural Frame Included

This new design incorporates an upgraded 63mm wide Spiral Pivot system connected to a 63 x 100 structural frame.

Very neat, motor and pivot system completely concealed with no need for box section supports. Blades can run horizontally or vertically.

Motorised Or Hand Operated Elam Street

This system consists of the new 63mm wide Spiral Pivot system without the structural sub-frame. Ideal for smaller spanning installations – can be supported with separate box section frame.

All Elam Street panels can be single or dual panel.

Hi-Span balustrade louvres for New Zealand

135mm HI-SPAN BALUSTRADE LOUVRE

The 135mm Hi-Span louvre has been designed to provide an operable Spiral Pivoting louvre suitable for NZ.

Motorised or hand operable

The louvre is an infill panel only and does not include structural balustrade frame supports – supports by others.

Nz And Australian Balustrade Requirements

This is a general guideline outlining some key requirements as at the time of printing.

1. A barrier is required when someone could fall vertically 1m or more.

2. Balustrade or barrier must be 1m high and of adequate strength to cope with people pressing against it.

3. Ensure nowhere on the balustrade a child can get a foot hold between 150mm & 750mm above the deck surface to climb over the balustrade or fall through.

4. In NZ the maximum opening between balulstrade verticals is 100mm, in Australia 125mm.
