National Senior Citizens Day 8/21

National Senior Citizens Day recognizes the achievements of the more mature representatives of our nation. It provides an opportunity to show our appreciation for their dedication, accomplishments and services they give throughout their lives. Celebrate Loveland Trails Day 9/10

Halloween GPS Geocaching 10/15

Get your family and friends outside for a spooky Halloween treasure hunt using GPS units to solve clues at North Lake Park. Each session begins with a brief orientation on how to use the GPS. Celebrate Chilson's 35th anniversary with a 35-mile challenge! Beginning 11/1, you have 50 days to complete the challenge with the option to do it on foot (walking or running), bike (stationary or group exercise) or in the water (swimming or lazy river water walking). You may mix and match activities with this self-tracking challenge. Register and pick up your mileage log at the Chilson front desk - available beginning 10/28. Successfully complete the 35-mile challenge and get an awesome prize! BONUS - complete weekly challenges along the way for a chance to win prizes.

11/25 #OptOutside Guided Hike

Join in the fifth annual #OptOutside Mariana Butte Hill Climb on Black Friday. Open Lands & Trails staff and volunteers lead a guided hike along the trails at Mariana Butte and Hidden Hogback Trail, with options to summit the Butte. Dress for the weather. Bring binoculars and cameras, and take in the views from the summit. The last part of summit climb is steep and has rocky terrain; there may be a wait depending on the number of hikers.
