we describes the wonder of my personal journey, as well as the progression of Oh Brides Magazine. As a young woman growing up in Macon, Georgia, I dreamed that I would one day walk the streets of New York City: a place full of phenomenal and endless possibilities! That dream became a reality last October and it was everything I imagined it would be. The streets were filled with taxis; magnificent billboards surrounded me and the hustle and bustle of Times Square accentuated this surreal experience for a small city girl. The amazement I felt while riding in our cab coupled with the excitement of being in New York for the first time, left me with butterflies and thoughts of how far I, Oh Brides, had come in less than 3 years. I was overtaken with extreme gratitude. I was in New York the fashion mecca, working with international photographer Claudia Mcdade to shoot Oh Brides’ fashion editorial spread. I knew, then, that this was only the beginning of something very special. The fashion shoot took place at the beautiful New York Palace Hotel, which has been the backdrop for several movies and television shows including Gossip Girls, 27 Dresses and Oprah’s Next Chapter. To mark Oh Brides’ inaugural national issue, I believe that all that transpired was most fitting. As we launch our national publication, we are so excited to share all things weddings from our detail inspirations of luxury tablescapes, real weddings, dresses, cakes and flowers to the scrumptious food. I am humbled by our growth but most excited about our future. Oh Brides is excited to bring high end, cutting edge inspiration to our readers across the nation spanning from Chicago to Houston on down to Miami and back to Washington D.C. Oh Brides magazine is designed to inspire the discerning, modern, and fashion-forward bride. As we continue to bring inspiration to our readers, we are thrilled to announce “Propose” a detail-inspired event series that will launch in 2016. We will travel across the country inspiring brides by bringing the pages of Oh Brides magazine to life. “Propose” is not your typical bridal show but an intimate, luxury, gallery showcase of wedding day inspirations featuring the finest products and services of hand-selected wedding professionals who set the standard of excellence in their respective fields. This event will allow couples the opportunity to explore the latest wedding trends and distinct details while enjoying the sound of live entertainment, cocktails, sweet and savory tastings, pampering, a couture fashion showcase gallery, detailed-inspired tablescapes and luxurious gift bags for the couples as we inspire them with endless ideas on their special day. Our concept is dedicated to showcasing the top wedding professionals and pairing them with couples who are seeking luxury, fashion forward, modern services and products. We look forward to meeting our newest readers and inspiring you for many years to come.
