What’s New? craft Beer in all shapes & Sizes Joining our Sultana Gold 8 Pack are the new Lakeside Kolsch and Forgotten Lake Blueberry Ale 8 Packs! Currently available in our retail store & coming soon to Manitoba. Environmentally friendly Crowlers® have also joined our 2018 line-up.
Lakeside Kolsch
5% alc./vol. 473ml x 8
Lakeside is one of Kenora’s first neighbourhoods on famous Lake of the Woods & is spattered with small beaches, boathouses & docks. Lakeside Kolsch is brewed using old-world techniques which produces a crisp, clean ale characteristic of a lager. It is a delicate & subtle beer with hints of malt & fruit in its nose.
FORGOTTEN LAKE
Blueberry Ale
7.1% alc./vol. 473ml x 8
BREWED WITH ACTUAL BLUEBERRIES. Hidden in the Lake of the Woods region on a small back lake there exists patches of berries usually reserved for the discerning palates of black bears. This beer is subtle with a clear fruity nose. Muted blueberry, low bitterness and medium body. Although high in ABV, its finish is smooth and well-balanced.
Crowlers®
Seasonal Selections 946ml / 32oz
What’s a Crowler® you ask? It’s a 32oz can of awesomeness! Why Crowlers®? Cans are better for the environment and better for beer. It allows us to offer our seasonals to our customers in a more planet-friendly way. We are filling Crowlers® daily with our seasonal beers. Available in our retail store only.

SAY HELLO OUR loca
We are proud to call Kenora home and to brew great beer right here. Our brewing team is always trying to find ways to create innovative, unique beer styles for all of us to enjoy. They work hard every day to ensure our taps are flowing and the growler bar is stocked. Brewing craft beer isn’t easy, so we thought we’d give you a chance to get to know the hard working folks that work tirelessly behind the scenes here at Lake of the Woods Brewing Company. In the co
In 2018, Lake of the Woods Brewing Company contributed more than $77,000 in cash and in-k business practices are developed around the ethics of making a difference in the communities of our passionate volunteers, industry partners, and craft beer fans so…cheers to them!
LOVE LOSS & WHAT I WORE
This illustrated memoir, written by Nora and Delia Ephron, came to life in a star-studded affair with six of the country’s best dressed actresses, for a sold-out benefit performance, generously sponsored by Lake of the Woods Brewing Company: raising more than $10,500 in support of the new Arts Centre in Kenora.
BREWERS STAGE
Beer & music – two things we unabashedly love here at Lake of the Woods Brewing Co. We are a part of this community. And, we personally know the guys and gals who continuously strive to make great music, both near and far away. We applaud the efforts of Scott Green, Shawn Bailey, countless businesses, and so many dedicated volunteers who pulled together to raise funds and raise the roof on The Brewers Stage at Anicinabe Park. We really buy into the idea of local supporting local, so we made a hefty gift to get behind this project.

BEER N’ TREES
NO STRAWS
In June, more than a dozen owners & staff walked miles and miles, to plant thousands of red pine saplings in prepared ground off of Pickerel Lake Road. Also, we partnered with LOTW District Property Owners Association: for every 4-pack of Papermaker we sold in 2018, a tree was planted in the forest.
Lake of the Woods Brewing Company joins a global movement, saying NO to plastic straws. It is good for the land, good for the water, and great for all the children in the world who deserve to inherit a safe and clean planet Earth.
CHARITY PINTS
Lake of the Woods Brewing Co. is proud to be Ontario’s northernmost brewery and we are still not selling our beer for a buck. What we are doing is donating $1.00 from every pint, Crowler® and/or Growler of BOCK A BEER, to assist the charitable aims of the LOTW Water Sustainability Foundation. Crafty, eh? lowwsf.com
CLOVERBELT
Think of it like a farmers’ market... but online! Local farmers, bakers and artisans list their goods and members can log-in weekly to choose from what’s in stock. Our beer truck picks up the orders from Dryden every week and delivers them to Kenora. We also provide the Kenora hub for members to pick up their goods. cloverbeltlocalfoodcoop.com

Have you been naughty or nice? Ho Ho Ho Yaaa! This Christmas our little elves went door to door bringing a little beer and a whole lot of cheer to neighbourhoods around Kenora. #hohohoyaaa

In the true spirit of giving, every year people from all walks of life and all ages celebrate the joy of the holiday season by giving to others. It really is better to give than to receive! WINTER 2018/SPRING 2019

LOWBREWCO GOOD TIMES
What makes our beer so unique? We Kräusen our beeR Kräusening is a traditional method of conditioning and carbonating beer - the stuff of legends for other brewers. It also cleans up any unwanted by-products (which can be found in most other “commercial” beers) from the primary fermentation stage. THIS PROCESS MAKES REALLY GOOD, ALL-NATURAL BEER. Google it.
OUR LAKE WATER IS AWESOME FOR MAKING BEER Brewing beer on the shores of Lake of the Woods was no accident. Lake of the Woods water is perfect for brewing beer, and since beer is over 90% water, it’s a pretty darn important ingredient. The low mineral content and softness of Lake of the Woods water is one of the things that makes our beer stand out in a crowd of many. In 2018, the City of Kenora celebrated top honours in two categories at the Northwestern Ontario Water Quality Conference in Thunder Bay. Kenora’s drinking water won first place in a blind taste test by a panel of water quality experts. YUP... WE’VE GOT SOME PRETTY AWESOME WATER.
