Discounts: A 25% sibling discount will be given for the second and any subsequent siblings registering for the same camp with the same coach or instructor. Discounts will be applied once the registrations are reviewed by the camp office. There will be no daily or weekly pro-rated discounts unless otherwise specified in the camp description.
Cancellations/Refunds: A $25 fee will be applied to all cancellations. No refunds will be issued once the camp starts. Exceptions may be made for serious illness or injury.

ACTING INTENSIVE
6TH - 8TH GRADE
Would you like to up your acting game? Are you new to performing or a seasoned pro? Our Loyola theatre teachers are award-winning, national and international theatre artists who focus on building your skills in voice, movement, characterization, monologues, scene work, and working in an ensemble. Pairing daily training with rehearsing a short performance, you will learn in community and at the end of our time, you will produce a show on our Performing Arts Center stage. You will work alongside Loyola students to learn special skills such as dance and fight choreography, warm up and build your communication skills as an actor on the stage, and you will get a head start working in our state-of-the-art, Broadway style theater Each performer gets the chance to shine on our stage! BOWLING
Camp dates and times may change, please contact Coach Tres for more information This camp is open to current team members, as well as any athlete from 6th grade through high school interested in improving their skills Special attention will be directed toward refining and developing the skills necessary to compete and succeed in bowling at the high school level. Classroom on lane instruction will be used along with video to provide each athlete a unique and individualized learning experience. Coach Tres was named by Bowlers Journal International as one of the Top 100 coaches in the United States in 2006 through 2014. Also, Coach Tres is a USBC Silver certified coach and has Dick Ritger level 1, 2 and 3 certifications. Coach Tres was named Athletico Physical Therapy’s 8th Annual Coach of the Year in December 2020.

SUMMER MUSICAL THEATER INTENSIVE
6TH - 12TH GRADE
Back by popular demand, the Summer Musical Theatre Intensive is an exciting new opportunity taught by Aaron Umsted, a professional director, choreographer, and theater educator The Intensive gives performers the opportunity to explore the skills necessary to become a true triple threat! Students will receive expert training in acting, singing, and dance, while simultaneously rehearsing for a showcase performance to be presented on the final day of the session.
Through this empowering experience, students will grow as individuals and also as ensemble performers.
The Intensive runs for two weeks, July 8 - July 19, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, in Loyola Academy’s Performing Arts Center. The program is open to rising junior high and high school students.
Aaron Umsted is currently the Artistic Director of The Children’s Theatre of Winnetka (CTW) where he has directed and choreographed The Lion King, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Matilda, The SpongeBob Musical, Singin’ in the Rain, and Disney’s Mary Poppins Mr Umsted’s Chicago-area theater credits include productions with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Northwestern University, Paramount Theatre, Drury Lane Oakbrook, and Marriott Theatre where he was nominated for a Jeff Award for his role as Will Parker in Oklahoma. He has also toured North America in the Broadway companies of A Chorus Line, Disney’s Mary Poppins, and the Tony Award winning revival of Anything Goes. Aaron is a 20-year member of Actor’s Equity Association, and holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Oklahoma, and a MEd. in Theatre Pedagogy from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

This camp is for beginners through very experienced athletes Comparable skilled athletes will be grouped together All camp sessions will focus on the aspects of strength and conditioning for their age group Including proper warm ups, speed mechanics, agility, strength training, stretching and nutritional guidance This camp will prepare athletes for their upcoming athletic season, as well as the understanding for how Rambler athletes train for their high school seasons. Each athlete will be coached on how to become faster and agile on the field and will be taught proper strength training techniques in the weight room. Camp will consist of 45 minutes of speed/agility and 45 minutes of strength training. Minimum of three athletes required.

This camp is will have specific defensive training and also focus on hitting and offense Each week we will do some sort of scrimmage to see how our drills are translating into the game Infielders will refine basic and learn advanced level footwork skills and learn a comprehensive understanding of positional responsibilities Outfielders will prioritize communication and effective outfield movements to allow them to take good routes to the ball and work on making smart decisions Catchers will focus on receiving pitches and proper positional footwork and positional positioning behind home plate. Hitting will be an introduction and refinement of Loyola's hitting approach. Loyola's baseball staff will be present for camp to maintain continuity with athletes. The first hour of camp will be position specific training The second hour will be hitting focused Infielders will work on footwork, glove placement, hand speed, and agility related defensive development techniques Outfielders will work on tracking the baseball, taking efficient routes to the baseball, as well as communication and defensive rotation Catchers will develop receiving techniques, blocking, and throwing footwork to increase their ability to throw base runners out Hitting will continue to develop their offensive approach, using Loyola specific offensive drills that allow them to refine their hitting mechanics, bat speed, and power Loyola baseball staff will be present for camp to maintain continuity with athletes. The emphasis of this camp is on non-contact instruction for the grade school level athlete. Every aspect of football is covered, including stance, footwork, speed, ball handling, passing, route running, receiving, blocking, defending the pass, lineman hand combat, and tackling. Players can choose specific positions or rotate. The camp is designed for all skill levels, beginner to advanced, and will provide instruction from members of the Loyola Academy coaching staff with very light contact where all facets of dodging and shooting will be taught for all skill levels. Advanced players will definitely learn and be challenged. Defensive positioning, checks, footwork, and learning to play around the crease will be covered. This camp is open to all girls interested in field hockey, offering a solid introduction to the game and the skills necessary for beginners, as well as a challenging curriculum for advanced players. Campers will be sorted by grade, but also take into account skill level. This camp offers a great opportunity to have fun, develop as an athlete, and learn from coaches who have played, and coached, at the highest collegiate level. We will focus on teaching fundamentals essential to take the player's skills to the next level. Sessions will be a combination of skills/technical stations and small-sided, heavily-instructed, game play to help players advance their tactical IQ and hone their technical skills. All campers will receive a Loyola pinny and a summer skills packet with individual and partner drills and fitness routines that athletes can use independently to improve their field hockey skills. This also gives the athletes a chance to get to know the Loyola Academy field hockey coaching staff, as well as our requirements and expectations for our program. All campers will receive a Loyola pinny and a Summer Skills & Conditioning Packet that will prepare them for tryouts. This is not a mandatory camp but all returning athletes who would like to play field hockey this fall should attend as much as possible for proper instruction and development. WATER POLO

Girls summer club water polo is open to incoming freshmen and returning high school athletes. No prior water polo experience is necessary. In addition to the cost of the camp, athletes must register online with American Water Polo to be eligible to play in games. American Water Polo membership is good for a year. Games dates, times, and locations TBA.
