By Jessica Medina FALL/WINTER TRENDS
One of the biggest events of the year
T
his year Fashion Week kicked off with a fabulous Fashion Show in Washington Heights in the venue Umbrella Lounge by Designer, Icel de Jesus. Icel with a unique and creative style introduced her clothing line ICEL NEW YORK with a runway show of Fall/Winter
2010 designs. ICEL NEW YORK clothing is inspired by the style of the 1950’s which trends were red lipstick, silhouette dresses which are fitted and its main focus is a woman’s figure. The designs are full of color and the talented designer believes in making her designs not ordinary but extraordinary. Icel de Jesus, shared with me that the Fall/Winter 2010 trends will be the colors & styles: Black, Red, Royal Blue, Shimmer (Gold/Silver), Graphic Prints, lace, sequence, fur and silhouette clothing. If you want a more exotic look, accompany the color tones with gold or silver jewelry. The metallic shine remarkably accentuates the beauty in the colors. Other designers believe Velvet is the “it fabric” for the fall and say the fall 2010 is more sensual as opposed to very loud spring styles. Designers like Narciso Rodriguez to Halston to Alexander Wang used the draping style from tops to cocktail dresses. If you are seeking a contemporary look and look like greek goddess, look no further than Narciso Rodriguez. It could be this season’s greatest emerging trends. www.vidanocturnamagazine.com

Fall/Winter 2010 trends will definitely be conservative glamour, chic, eccentric color combinations and more which will make this Fall season very exciting. On a more personal note, whatever you choose to wear, remember to keep the trends and essentials. Avoid bringing too much because that will completely make your outfit look out of place.

ICEL DE JESUS Icel introduced her collection for the first time at the Boutique Trade Show in New York City. One of her designs was featured on the front cover of Imagenes Magazine by L’OrealIcel’s. Designs have also been sold at Patricia Field’s boutique in New York City. De Jesus was invited to participate as an international judge on the Miss Honduras Universe pageant in 2007 in Honduras. Icel De Jesus was chosen by the executives of Carimaxx Productions to design the evening gown for Wendy Salgado, Miss Honduras for the Miss Universe Pageant 2007. Icel worked as creative director for a private sportswear junior company. She traveled to Europe to study the market and get inspiration to design. She developed several lines of clothing which were sold at Macy’s department store, and chain stores such as Wet Seal, Charlotte Russe Forever 21,and many others. Icel De Jesus has paved her way into the fashion industry. Her long hours of work, her passion for design, her drive, motivation, determination, ambition and persistence are beginning to pay off and this young Latina is ready to burst into the i n te r na t i o na l fashion scene with her unique portfolio. She has the knowledge and the experience to take upon the challenges and succeed in the intricate world of fashion. Icel De Jesus is ready to trace her own footprints and continue on her way to conquer the world.
