THE POLAR EXPRESS TRAIN RIDE Dates: November 19, 2021-January 1, 2022
Join us for a truly magical recreation of the classic holiday story about a child’s Christmas Eve journey aboard a vintage steam train as it departs our station in Durango and sets off for the North Pole to pick up Santa.
18th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF TREES & WREATHS Dates: December 3, 2021-December 5, 2021
Get into the spirit of the season with Festival of Trees and Wreaths, a free, family-friendly holiday tradition! Tour an enchanted forest of Christmas trees and wreaths decorated by our generous sponsors, bid on creative gifts and festive decorations, and vote for your favorite creations - all while supporting Community Connections’ mission to help people with disabilities lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
NOEL NIGHT Dates: December 3, 2021
Every December, Local First, and its partners present Noel Night, a family-friendly event where you can enjoy special offers, live music and entertainment, and delicious holiday treats!
SNOWDOWN FESTIVAL Dates: January 26, 2022 - January 30, 2022

The 43rd annual Snowdown will be full of magic and mystics. With Snowdown’s For over 40 years, Durango has made the most of winter’s short days and long nights with a celebration of fun and frivolity: Snowdown. For its 43rd year, Snowdown Durango is making a big comeback after the pandemic cancelled its 2021 event. The 2022 theme is Magical & Mystical, allowing for your creativity to shine through.
SILVERTON SKIJORING Dates: February 19, 2022 - February 20, 2022
The popular Skijoring race will be returning to Silverton in February of 2022. As one of the most popular winter events in the area, skijoring draws thousands each year. Visitors watch as skiers, who are holding onto ropes attached to a horse, are pulled through gates and jumps on Blair Street.
