4 SEPARATE GUEST CABINS

“Lonesome Dove” The first of the four cabins to be built, Lonesome Dove provides an experience of luxury and serenity. Couples who want to get away and enjoy the wild beauty of the mountains will especially enjoy this intimate one-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin, complete with a well-appointed kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The living room has a floor-to-ceiling river-rock wood-burning fireplace, and a spiral staircase that soars to the bedroom loft, where the comfortable king-sized bed sits on a frame of hand-hewn logs. Just outside the kitchen door is a patio for outdoor grilling and lounging.

“Jeremiah Johnson” Easily our most masculine and rustic of interiors, this hunting-themed cabin recalls the days when survival skills were a necessity in the rugged mountains of Colorado. Jeremiah Johnson is a two-story, three-bedroom cabin with two full baths; it can easily accommodate ten people. Downstairs, the fireplace dominates the living room, which features a queen sofa sleeper; there is also a well-appointed kitchen, full bathroom, and a bedroom with a queen-sized bed. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a queen-sized bed and the other with four bunk-style beds—and a shared bathroom. As with all our cabins, the furnishings are custom-made or carefully selected from local merchants, including antique shops and the studios of local artisans.

“A River Runs Through It” This cabin, decorated with a fly-fishing motif, offers guests the appeal of outdoor sports and adventure. A River Runs Through It shows our appreciation for Big Sky country, a little piece of which seems to have been transplanted right here in Southern Colorado. This two-story, three-bedroom cabin with two full baths can easily accommodate ten people. Downstairs, the fireplace dominates the living room, which features a queen sofa sleeper; there is also a well-appointed kitchen, full bathroom, and a bedroom with a queensized bed. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a queensized bed and the other with four bunk-style beds—and a shared bathroom. As with all our cabins, the furnishings are custom-made or carefully selected from local merchants, including antique shops and the studios of local artisans.

“True Grit” The poetic spirit of the cowboy and the western ranch underscore the theme of this cabin. Offering a light-hearted approach to a bunkhouse environment, True Grit is decorated from top to bottom with the equipment and accouterment one would expect of that most classic of cowboy figures, John Wayne. WILDLIFE AND RECREATION This ranch is a mecca for wild game, and combined with the easy access to the rugged landscape, it naturally creates a hunter’s paradise. Consequently, the ranch has been enjoyed as a private family hunting refuge for several decades. Deer, Elk, Bear, and Wild Turkey are bagged annually and additional wildlife sightings on the ranch include Mountain Lion, Big Horn Sheep, Bobcat and Bald Eagle.
