About PBF We aim to ease the impact and reduce the incidence of spinal cord injuries in Australia.
Protection PBF membership offers low cost protection for you and your family. As a PBF member you will be eligible to apply for a benefit payment to the value of $250,000* if you ever sustain a permanent spinal cord injury. Paraplegia and quadriplegia are among the most expensive chronic injuries a person can face. PBF membership provides the financial security so that the immediate expenses associated with this life changing injury are covered.
Prevention PBF aims to reduce the number of serious injuries and deaths on the road, at work, and in the water. PBF Presenters who have sustained a spinal cord injury share their stories and emphasise the consequences of making unsafe choices and the impact it has had on their life. These inspirational sessions aim to raise awareness about spinal cord injury while motivating others to take safety seriously.
Support Spinal cord injury is a life changing injury. At PBF Australia we support those who have sustained a spinal cord injury. Our Peer Support and Gifting Programs help those living with paraplegia and quadriplegia get the most out of life. We also provide employment opportunities for those with spinal cord injury through our Injury Prevention program. We believe life can and does go on after a spinal cord injury.
