Junior Courses Available in the USA, UK and Canada*, our English for Juniors courses are ideal for small groups or independent young people eager to develop their English language skills while benefiting from an exciting variety of cultural and social activities. Choose from our Junior language centres in London, Portsmouth, Cambridge, New York, Boston, San Francisco/Berkeley, San Diego, Toronto or Vancouver and enjoy the experience of a lifetime. * All our LSI language centres worldwide also offer year-round language courses for juniors to closed groups booking together. Junior Courses for Groups/Student Welfare
Junior Courses for Groups All our Junior Courses are offered to both individuals and groups.* In addition to our published start dates, all of our schools can accept groups for a variety of age ranges at various times throughout the year. Check with individual centres on the minimum number of students required to run the course and additional dates available. One group leader may accompany each group of 10 –15 students for free (including transfers, accommodation and activities). Please check with individual schools as to the full group leader entitlements. * Unless stated otherwise
Student Welfare The safety and well-being of students in our care is our top priority. All LSI centres work with local and national agencies to ensure that we maintain the highest industry standards in safeguarding and child safety. Students are supervised both in the classroom and on social activities. School staff are available to both students and parents at all times. LSI also provides trained welfare officers in all our schools to offer any additional support required by the students. Security is also a priority when selecting the right kind of accommodation for our Junior students. LSI homestays are carefully selected and regularly visited by a trained member of staff, while our student residences provide 24 hour supervision. London Hampstead The Location

LSI London Hampstead is located in the heart of Hampstead Village, a leafy and prosperous suburb close to central London. Our school is situated on a picturesque residential street providing a quiet, safe place to study, yet we are just 15 minutes from Oxford St and the city centre by Underground, perfectly placed to enjoy all the attractions of London.
Homestay Our homestay families are carefully selected, monitored and visited regularly by our accommodation officer. Homestays offer students the opportunity to learn more about British culture while they study English. Under-16s may be placed with students who speak the same language as them so they can travel to and from school together more easily and feel more at home. Please note that in accordance with UK law, 13–15 year olds can only stay in a homestay for a maximum of 4 weeks.
The School The course combines English tuition in the mornings with a fun and varied programme of activities and excursions in the afternoons, allowing students to improve their English both in and out of the classroom. Cambridge is the perfect place for young people to study, combining a fun and vibrant atmosphere with a tradition for learning and study. Cambridge itself is ideally placed for exploring the best that the UK has to offer, with London only 50 minutes away by train and the beautiful Norfolk coastline only one hour in the other direction.
Homestay Twin room host family accommodation is available with one of our warm and welcoming families around the city. All of the rooms offer a desk, chair and free laundry service. Breakfast and evening meals are included and a packed lunch will be provided for trips.

LSI@Portsmouth University is an all inclusive English summer camp for teenagers based on a seafront university campus in the historic port city of Portsmouth, only an hour and half by train from London. The city offers an irresistible mix of history and heritage, a lively art scene, shopping and a multitude of cafes. With an aqua park, an award winning aquarium and arguably the oldest skateboard park in the world, the city boasts an amazing array of leisure activities.
Residence Accommodation is in single en-suite rooms in the on-site halls of residence. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are also included in the price, all served within the University of Portsmouth campus. Wherever possible, junior students are accommodated in clusters and corridors with fellow students from other countries, helping them to improve their English and make friends with students from all around the world.

New York is truly one of the world’s great cities. World-famous attractions including Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art are just the beginning of what is guaranteed to be an amazing experience in this exciting and inspiring metropolis.
Residence The halls of residence offer a safe and secure environment for our students. The residence is modern and comfortable. Students will be placed in shared suites, consisting of two or three rooms each accommodating two or three students with a shared bathroom in each suite.
The School The programme is based on the campus of a private college just north of the city, just 45 minutes from midtown Manhattan. Vancouver is located on the west coast of Canada. It is Canada’s third largest city and is one of the world’s most beautiful and safe cities. Vancouver is very multi-cultural, with people living happy lives with others from all over the world. Located between the Pacific Ocean and the beautiful Coast Mountains this modern, clean city offers a rich variety of attractions for people of all ages. The transportation system is very efficient and the international restaurants are excellent.
Homestay Our homestay families have been working with LSI Vancouver for many years. They have been carefully selected and monitored, and our Student Services Coordinator visits every home annually to make sure everything is perfect. All families have passed criminal record checks to ensure student safety. Host families speak English in the home so that students can practise English and learn more about Canadian and international culture.

LSI Vancouver is a smaller, caring school that has been welcoming students from around the world since 1993. Family Programme
Family Programme Designed for parents who wish to combine a family holiday with their English studies, the LSI Family Programme allows parents to choose from a wide selection of adult courses while their children follow one of LSI’s specialised English programmes for juniors. Leisure activities and teaching methods are specially adapted to suit both adults and children, ensuring that the whole family will have fun while learning. This programme is offered at London Hampstead, Brighton, Cambridge, Vancouver, Toronto, New York, San Francisco/Berkeley, Boston and San Diego. All of the above LSI Language Centres, except Brighton, offer our English for Juniors course in conjunction with our adult courses. For centre specific details for the English for Juniors course, including qualifying ages, check our English for Juniors schools (pages 3–11). LSI Brighton runs the `LSI Brighton Family Programme’. LSI Brighton Family Programme LSI Brighton offers the Family Programme for students aged 5 –15*. Adults can choose from the wide variety of General English courses at LSI Brighton while children can study at one of our summer camps. BISS Summer Camp (ages 5–10 years) The BISS summer camp is based at Dorothy Stringer School, a large British High School with many modern facilities. The course runs from Monday to Friday (09:00 –16:00) and includes: • English classes (15 hours per week) • Max. 16 students per class • A daily hot lunch • Opportunities to mix with local British children during afternoon activities • A range of sporting and art activities in the afternoons • Full supervision by qualified and experienced teachers • Supervised transport to and from accommodation and campus (additional cost)

Dolphin Language Centre Summer Camp (ages 11–15 years) The Dolphin Language Summer Camp is based at the University of Brighton Campus and the Amex Football stadium. The course runs from Monday to Friday (09:00 –16:00) and includes: • English classes (15 hours per week) with optional English for Football or Exam Preparation classes • Max. 15 students per class • Daily supervised transport to and from Brighton Central station • Lunch in the campus canteen • Afternoon excursions/activities • Full day excursion at the weekends • Free weekly local travel pass Course Prices and Start Dates Please refer to page 13.
