Rubrum Solem
Deep Ellum is known for its vibrant street murals, quirky art galleries, and concert halls. The night scene draws in a boisterous crowd on the weekends, enjoying meals and cocktail bars. Keeping the Deep Ellum culture in mind, the growing concept is to cultivate flowers for the use of natural dyes and paints to serve and supply the community, especially local artists. The materials used are steel and concrete, offering a ‘blank canvas’ opportunity, one that can be painted on and easily cleaned up. This interaction allows for competitions, lectures and a community atmosphere that revolves around the creation of art.
Structural Detail The structural components are made of industrial materials. This includes steel beams, tension wires, cables and metal pannels.
