On March 17, 2020, the Southeastern Conference announced that all regular season conference and SEC championship events were cancelled, due to continuing developments related to COVID-19. LSU would finish the 2019-20 season ranked No. 12 by Golfweek and No. 13 by Golfstat. Ingrid Lindblad finished her rookie year ranked No. 2 by Golfweek and No. 9 by Golfstat. The Halmstad, Sweden native was a Top-3 finalist for the ANNIKA Award and earned invitations to the 2020 Augusta National Women' Amateur and the 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup International Team. Classmate Latanna Stone also received a 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup invitation from the United States Team. Both rookies were named All-American by Golfweek, while Lindblad picked up the honor from the WGCA as well and was named the 2020 GolfStat Cup winner. Lindblad became just the fifth player in the history of the SEC, and the first in over 15 years, to earn both the league's Golfer of the Year and Freshman of the Year in the same season. She is the fourth LSU player to be named SEC Golfer of the Year, joining an elite group with alumnae Jenny Lidback (1986), Kristi Coats (1991) and Madelene Sagstrom (2015). Lindblad and Stone also earned All-SEC team accolades and were named to the SEC All-Freshman Team. In the classroom, four players earned WGCA All-American Scholar accolades – Kendall Griffin, Ingrid Lindblad, Latanna Stone and Alden Wallace – the largest class of Tigers to receive the honor in one season. Senior Monica Dibildox graduated with her bachelor's degree in a virtual commencement ceremony in May 2020 and was named to the SEC Community Service Team. As a team, LSU finished with six top-3 finishes in seven tournaments played and earned three tournament titles. It was the most team titles in a season by the Tigers since 2014-15. Lindblad became the 10th player in LSU history to win multiple tournament titles as a Tiger.
