Dear LSU Fans,
Welcome back to Tiger Stadium. Every Saturday we spend together here is a cause for celebration. It’s a celebration of who we are and who we want to become. It’s a celebration of where we come from and where we are going. It’s a celebration of the deeply rooted traditions that bring us together as Tiger fans and the unique culture that sets us apart from the rest of the world. Most importantly, it’s a celebration of our people: student athletes, who work tirelessly to continue and expand the legacy of champions they’ve inherited – in the classroom, the community, and in competition; coaches and staff, who work together in a relentless pursuit of excellence; and the greatest fans in the world, unrivaled in their passion and pride for the Tigers. As we embark on a new season together, I invite you to join in this celebration not just today, but in every day that follows. Let the spirit that fills you on Saturdays in the fall – when one state unites behind two colors, three letters, and four glorious notes courtesy of the Golden Band from Tiger Land – stay with you everywhere you go. That’s the magic of LSU: as the game finishes, as the season completes, as Saturday’s voices become Sunday’s echoes, we leave this place we call home. But this place we call home never leaves us. It stays with us forever – a celebration that never fades.
