SOUTH CAROLINA
Greenville is about the people who live in the area, and a lot of people are choosing to live near Greenville. The population is about 75,000 in 2022, and is expected to grow even more in the next few years. Residents range from young medical professionals coming to work for Prisma Health or the Bon Secours System to engineers with Michelin or GE to workers at BASF or Mitsubishi to attorneys, accountants and more for companies including Lockheed Martin, 3M, and Bosch. They include retirees coming from the Northeast, Midwest, West Coast and Florida. These are people who are learning that they can work remotely instead of in New York City or Washington, D.C. offices. They choose a community with four distinct seasons, rivers galore and located along the Interstate 85 corridor.
For fun, the folks of Greenville can choose from Clemson athletics (it’s a scenic 45-minute drive to the Tigers’ home field!), Greenville Triumph professional soccer, Greenville Drive baseball, and Greenville Swamp Rabbits hockey. There are close to 50 golf courses in the Greenville area alone. Greenville’s award-winning downtown boasts waterfalls, cafes and parks, world-class dining and shopping, a love of the local arts and the only single suspension pedestrian bridge in America, which overlooks the beautiful 26-acre Falls Park. Throughout the year, there are large food festivals ,art festivals, theater options galore and world-class museums.
