Service is the Key to the Summer! Lieutenant Governor’s Greeting Hi Division 2! I hope everyone’s finals and regents went well. What do you have planned for the summer? I know the year is coming to a close, however I still need everyone to keep up with the paperwork as well as contact with me. This month has been very poor and I am disappointed in our division. Let’s make the next month better!

In this newsletter I will review the June Service Project, have an LTC spotlight, and have a video challenge for the Thirst Project. Follow Division 2 @nydkcd2 on Twitter and Instagram! Upcoming Events: 1. I would like to host a beach Divisional at the end of July. Attendance will need to be up in order for this to happen.

2. Towards the end of the summer, divisions 1, 2, and 3 are working on a beach clean up to do together. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please contact me. Alexiswarren.ltg@nydkc.org (717)856-5417

On June 14th, the Lindenhurst High School Key Club Adopted A Beach. It ran from 9 AM to 12PM. Every key clubber was working until every ounce of trash was cleaned up. The local beach was still open to the public during their event and a few residents were very impressed saying "Thank you!" and "You are doing a fantastic job." The key clubbers didn't expect to find that much trash and it was a mind opener. Every year, around the same time, they will host an event alike. The event was a huge success!

I am beyond excited for International Convention. I know that many of you won’t have the opportunity to experience it, so my plan going into the convention is to write down a great deal. When I get back, I will be able to recite every detail, that way it was like you were right alongside me. The July Newsletter will focus a little more on ICON! For live updates add Key Club International @keyclubint and New York District June Newsletter Key Club @nydkc on snapchat!

I want division 2 to be active during the summer months! Every club should host at least 2 service projects with a goal of fundraising $100 each or 1 service project raising $200. Here are 4 service project ideas!

1. A car wash You can call a local auto body shop, bank, or even a restaurant to see if you can host it there.

2. A bake sale Ask your local grocery store to sit outside for 2 hours and sell baked goods.

3. Housework Do household work such as mow lawns or dust furniture for your neighbors and ask for $5 to help your cause.

4. A yard Sale Get rid of everything you don’t want anymore and sell it for your cause.

Election Report Forms https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1TZOEynn 1hnB8py6-4Mrsh-6K0sHQq3BqWZcWXgpF0w/viewform?usp=send_form This form is a bit more flexible in that it gives you guys the option to record information about additional board members. This is beneficial for clubs that have more than one person occupying the same position-for example, two secretaries. Election Report Forms are officially due on September 27th, 2015. HOWEVER, if you have already had your elections, or are having them around this time of the year, please try your best to submit the ERF as soon as possible.

All report forms can be found under the resources tab on nydkc.org. Fundraising Report Form The FRF has been simplified to make the process of documenting a fundraiser easier and will hopefully increase submissions. A form of proof is no longer required. Instead, your advisor and I will receive a confirmation. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1feBKc okS3UtbcdNvkJv9hrfWbDEJQvkgJwI1e Mb_mZ8/edit The fundraising goal for the 2015- 2016 service year is 100,000.

Monthly Report Forms and Lieutenant Governor Evaluation Forms are due the 7th of every month. Don’t forget if you have any questions you can email Secretary Zainab or I.

Report Form Submission is below. The pink is election report forms. The dark orange is monthly report forms for the month of April. The light orange is monthly report forms for the month of May. The light green is the monthly report forms for the month of June.

“Hello, Division 2! I am Rikki Larios from William Floyd High School and I am coordinating the fall rallies throughout the New Newsletter York District this year! ForJune those of you that do not know, fall rally is hosted at the beginning of the school year and combines several clubs and divisions across the state. The purpose of fall rally is not only to train club officers and do service projects, but to help get people to interact with each other and to have fun! This year, Division 2 is going to be having their fall rally with Divisions 1 through 7 at LIU Post on October 25th. I am very excited that we are going to be having such a large rally this year! Many people call fall rally a "mini LTC" so I'm sure that I, along with the division 1-7 LTGs will do our best to make sure that this fall rally is exciting for everyone.” Fall Rally will also provide you with the opportunity to meet new key clubbers. You can’t beat an experience where you get to meet all of the clubs that are on Long Island. We will keep promoting Fall Rally until the very last day. It is important that you promote as well; scheduling this event so early allows you to do this. It is a very important divisional and we hope to get maximum attendance!

Any questions, comments, or concerns, you can email me or Rikki at ricardolarios.chair@ nydkc.org.
