When watching equals b reathing, and experimenting becomes the new normal. When thinking extends into images, and these images begin to shout at each other until your head is ringing and raging. When your eyes want to look beyond what the h orizon offers, and the light tries to stroke your retina. When the future becomes yours, but n obody knows it yet, except you. Maybe you belong with us? A new generation of v isual creators full of expectation and gusto for what’s coming.

A group that will join in exploring, shaping and creating the v isual culture of t omorrow. We tilt the balance, break up frames, pile up high-towering layers and tear up rusty ways of thinking. We mix a nalogous grains through the digital soup, develop film with coffee, make outrageous c reations in 3D and let algorithms translate our v ision into new images. We frame the new photographic image, which reaches f urther than ever. It’s the future that we claim. It’s ours. It’s yours.

16, Yasmin Abrahams Kicks

“Kicks” is a digital artwork by Yasmin A brahams, in which the viewer experiences their own interpretation of the search for her identity. You see a timeline of the obstacles that have been there, the moments when she felt lonely, struggling with the evil tensions and energies around her that caused flashbacks to memories of her youth and the relationship with her father. Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, Yasmin Abrahams went throught a period in which she isolated herself from reality and searched for inner peace in a visual way. visit yasminabrahams.cargo.site

20, Alexsandro Celea Leopard Trash Baby

‘Leopard Trash Baby’ is a photographic s eries in collaboration with the visual artist Lotte Vrancken. Her selfmade gloves were being used as an inspiration for each fictional and digitally m anipulated character. In his images, A lexsandro doesn’t shy away from confrontation, and in a h umorous way, he questions our taste of the b eautiful and the ugly.

27, Yoram Musiek Utopia

The work ‘Utopia’ by Yoram Musiek is shaped by a fantastic mix of real images and constructed 3D objects. Together, these futuristic and abstract o bjects form the building stones of a fictional world, which is only accessible through this s eries of images. In his work, Yoram explores the b oundaries of the photographic image in order to search for a new innovative visual language.

‘Onkruid’ offers a refreshing view on squatting and anarchism in the post-modern era and shows how Lennert as a photographer rediscovered his own identity, peace and freedom in this subculture.

rijd trager (“drive slower”)

Eva Van Aken has a remarkable and distinctive view on the simple everyday things that are so special to her. She gets her visual findings from her car drives along all too familiar roads. These drives allow her to briefly escape from reality, and she enjoys the delightful slowness of these moments.

At C-mine, “Wonderful things” ran, the b iggest exhibition ever about the elaborate and much talked-about work by the inventive and internationally renowned photographer Tim Walker. This was the starting point and source of inspiration for the creation and exhibition of new work by our photography students under the name of ‘Weird is Wonderful – Wonderful is Weird’. During a week of workshops, the s tudents were guided and supported by an international team of designers, makeup a rtists, s cenographers, fashion photographers and m odels.
