Family Insight, P.C. is a well-established community based organization which consists of a committed group of professionals and counselors dedicated to promoting the mental, emotional and social well-being of those in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We provide treatment for children, adolescents, families and adults who have been diagnosed with a wide range of mental health and/or substance abuse disorders. We have locations in Richmond, Roanoke, Manassas and VA Beach. We are looking for: Individual and Family Counselors This position provides individual and family counseling in our Intensive In-Home program. This position is responsible for providing individual and family counseling, mentoring and/or intensive case management services for clients ages 4 - 21. Services are provided in the home and community setting. The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or other counseling related field, although a Master’s Degree is preferred. This position also requires a minimum of 1+ years’ of clinical experience. Mental Health Counselors This position works with with adults in our Mental Health Skill Building program. This position is responsible for providing mental health training, mentoring and/or intensive case management services for clients, ages 16 and up, with a serious mental illness. Services are provided in the home and community setting. The successful candidate must have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a human services field, although a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. This position also requires a minimum of 1+ years’ of clinical experience. Behavior Treatment Counselor- Autism/ABA This position is responsible for providing treatment to children with autism and other developmental disabilities, in the home and community setting, based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Training and supplemental supervision will be provided by an LBA/BCBA. The successful candidate must meet QMHP criteria which includes having a minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a human service field with one year of clinical experience with children and/or adolescents. HOW TO TURN A JOB FAIR INTO A JOB OFFER

Research ALL companies attending. Know leadership, location, mission, products and services. Revise your resume to fit specific company needs from those of interest, one for each company with a general resume for the others. Bring more than enough resumes (more than the companies of interest). Keep a portfolio. Leave your backpack at home. Dress for success. A suit (black, navy, or charcoal gray) is always a safe choice. However, make sure to do your homework and know what the organization wears. Greet everyone with a smile and a handshake. Be ready with your Elevator Pitch. Go first to companies that you’re not as interested in...you might be surprised AND it’s great practice! Speak clearly and concisely and always end on a positive note. Be prepared with questions for the employer. Make sure to get employers’ business cards. Send THANK YOU NOTES to each of the employers within 2 days. Follow up specifically with employers of interest within 2 days, and as often as necessary afterwards.
