Years ago, as a customer, you might go to three or four stores, ask a lot of questions and look at options in person.
Today, so many of us are seeing products on TV through networks like HGTV and checking things out online and then showing up to one or two stores to take a look in person.
The point is, be careful about putting too much stock in what manufacturers advertise online in terms of being waterproof, dent-proof and scratch-proof.

MADDEN Christi
Living Up to Their Trust
Out of all of the qualities that a top producer can have, one of the most powerful is becom ing a trusted advisor and guide through time.
One of those who fits that descrip tion is perfectly is Christi Madden.
As a REALTOR® with Keller Williams Hometown Partners, Christi has built her success and results for others by living up to the trust they have in her.
“Building relationships (with a focus on a healthy foundation) is my current focus and passion. Whether it be family, friends, clients, colleagues, mentors, these
“It’s also gratifying to see them light up when they know they found the one, and you’re the one that gets to put the keys in their hands. Our real estate market is complex and I enjoy navigating that, and educating my clients to help them to get the most out of their purchase or their current investment.”
Making Her Way Forward
Christi was born in Wichita, and grew up in Maize. As she came of age, she met and married her
In time, Christi worked as a Chiropractic Assistant and Office Coordinator. At the same time, she had also become interested in real estate.
“As our youngest got older, I found myself ready for more. I wanted to grow as an individual,” Christi remembers. “I wanted a challenge. I reached out to a long-time friend who was an agent, she hired me as her transaction coordinator/assistant. And I fell in love with it.”

Christi earned her license in 2019. As she remembers, she first began as a Transaction Coordinator, Assistant and Marketer. After working on a team at first and learning as much as she could soak up, Christi made the decision in 2020 to become an
“This was never a part of my plan. It came out of nowhere so I prayed about it for months, and talked to my mentors. The longer I put it off, the more uncomfortable I felt,” Christi says.
“I was terrified to take the leap, it was during the pandemic and no one was sure what the market was going to do. At the end of the day I had to trust God and his plan. It was one of the best decisions I have made.”
Signs of Success
Christi has reached tremendous levels of success during her fouryear real estate career. In fact, she has recorded nearly $26 million in
being able to impact others, being a self-employed mom/wife and finding what works for yourself and your family to have balance.
At the same time, Christi is quick to shine the spotlight on several who have supported her success, including Amy Preister, Jessica Holle, Stefanie Roth, Tessa Konen, Daniel Gutierrez, Kit Corby, Amanda Rempe, Paula Yaussi, Leanne Barney, Tammy Schmidt and her coach Curtis Kupfersmith.
Family Highlights
Family enriches Christi’s world. She treasures time with her husband of 15 years, Mike, who works as a Telecommunications Engineer.
13-year-old, Brenna.
In their free time, Christi and her family enjoy time on their 15-acre property fishing, shooting, riding dirt bikes and go-karts. They also look forward to time exploring new destinations. They also like to support their children’s sports activities, including football, wrestling, volleyball and cheerleading.
Christi and Mike also enjoy exercising. They’ve done CrossFit together for the past 10 years, and are putting together their own dream gym.
When it comes to giving back, Christi has been involved in fundraising efforts for ICT SOS … rappelling over the edge of the Ambassador Hotel during the group’s Over the Edge event. She has also supported the Maggie Ballard and Paxtons Blessing Box and have plans to do more and lock arms with her in the next year.
As Christi looks to the future, she shares her thoughts on creating continued success.
“I love impacting others, being able to impact others, being a self-employed mom/wife and finding what works for yourself and your family to have balance,” Christi says. “I believe it’s liking what you do, how you do it. I think it’s about being able to live life on your terms.”

A NEW PATH. CONTINUING SUPPORT. Cristy resigned in February 2020. Then COVID-19 gripped the world. After a couple of months, Cristy dove in to earn her real estate license. Yet she has never forgotten the influence of her first love in education.
“Education was a vehicle where I learned a lot of life and people skills. It was a great vehicle to get where I am now. This is where I am meant to be, but that time was very important for me,” she explains.
One of the ways she stays connected to that earlier chapter in her life is by supporting the efforts to maintain funding for vital education efforts. One way she does that is by spending a lot of time as part of the Board of Directors for the Maize Education Foundation.
Cristy serves as Chair of the group’s annual golf tournament.
“I love it, because it’s a way to give back to the district that I worked in for a big way for so long,” Cristy says.
“Those funds that we raise through the tournament are earmarked for teachers or students that we provide challenge grants to … for things that district funds can’t fund. For example, it may be projects like funding the development of a STEM lab or other initiatives that the regular school budgeting process is not allowed to cover.”
GRATITUDE
Having the ability to pursue a new chapter in life while still being able to contribute to an earlier passion is a gift that isn’t lost on Cristy at all.
“It’s humbling being able to be involved in this way, because I love people, and being in real estate, I get to pour into people. I care about kids and families. I have former students who are married and have started families, as well as former colleagues,” Cristy emphasizes.
“They have called me when they are ready to make a move. That’s a great feeling. Being in education is a tough job … pouring back into them in any way I can as a thank you. I am cheering them on.”
I’M HERE TO LOVE ON PEOPLE AND CARE FOR THEIR
EVERYONE IS TRYING THEIR BEST.
POURING INTO PEOPLE
Today, Cristy continues to drive forward in her ongoing efforts to help her clients realize their own
“Having been part of a large team in a school system, it’s great to be on my own. I’m driven by my own ability to not have to rely on other people to make something work … to grind it out. At the end of the day it’s my success or failure,” Cristy says.
“Every day is different. Truly I love listing a home and helping a buyer see how they can see themselves live in a home. I enjoy all stages from start to finish. Every family’s story is different.”
Cristy has definitely found another calling that she is very well-suited for. During her first full year in the business, she earned Rookie of the Year honors while recording nearly $7 million in sales volume. Since then, she has also received Master Circle recognition for her work in 2021 and 2022.
Family time is a truly rewarding time for Cristy. She cherishes time with her husband, Reuben, who has been a part of the team at National Catastrophe Restoration Incorporated for the past 17 years.
Cristy and Reuben look forward to time spent with their children — their 16-year-old daughter, Charlotte, and their 13-year-old son, RJ.
In their free time, they look forward to playing golf together at home and when they are on vacation together. Cristy also has a passion for being outside, as well as remodeling and decorating spaces.
Another favorite activity for Cristy is running, as well as hosting events.
With integrity, determination and care, Cristy is available for those she serves.
“It’s very important for me that the people I work with know that I care about them and their success,” she says. “I’m here to love on people and care for their needs. Everyone is trying their best. And I want to do my part by adding some positivity.”
Anyone who knows Cristy will tell you that she definitely achieves that mission every day … with a caring, steady brand of support.
Towle
‘I’m where I’m supposed to be.’
From the time Lisa Towle first tried her hand at real estate, it was clear she discovered a perfect match between her interests and her natural abilities.
to feel relieved that I’m helping them through their transaction, and providing support after closing.”
She smiles as she recounts the clients she first started working with nearly two decades ago, some of whom have gone on to refer their own children and grandchildren to Lisa on real estate deals. Lisa has earned their business through her conscientious nature, her attention to every detail, and the care she takes to ensure her clients are protected through every transaction.
“With those multigenerational transactions, you start to feel like part of the family through time,” she says.
“That aspect of forming close relationships with families is my favorite part
Lisa grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After her freshman year of high school, she moved with her family
to Alabama for a year before they moved to Wichita for her junior year.
“During those relocations, I got a glimpse at what a REALTOR® does. I vividly remember the stress of all the moving parts for our family. From searching for the right house to the right school district, it was important to have someone in the new city that was looking out for our needs.”
During college at Wichita State as a Marketing major, Lisa had a hard time settling on a career path. During one con versation with her advisor, she learned about a real estate team who needed an assistant.
“My advisor thought that might be a good introduction to the real estate business. She helped me get the job, and I started with the team before I graduated,” Lisa says.
While working with the team, it brought back memories of her family’s relocations, as well as her natural love for homes and studying floorplans. This hands-on experience provided Lisa with a general understanding of how transactions were developed and what a career in real estate might look like.
After graduation, Lisa earned her license and began working as an individual Realtor. Through time, Lisa has carved out a spot as one of the region’s top-pro ducing agents. Clients consider her a trusted guide and turn to her with their future plans. In fact, in 2022, she recorded nearly $14.5 million in sales volume.
A Wonderful Life
Lisa is happily married to her husband, Chris, and they have two sons — 11-year-old Henry and 9-year-old Jacob.
“Chris is super supportive and is really the reason I can do this,” she says.
Being close to her own family gives Lisa perspective on the importance of serving families through residential real estate transactions.
“I lost my Dad in 2017 unexpectedly. Losing him put a hyper focus on all my relationships. I always want the people in my life, whether personal or professional, to feel like I am there for them and that I will take care of them … even after the transaction,” Lisa says.
In any free time she does have, Lisa has a passion for cooking and trying new restaurants.
“It’s really fun for me to support local places and try new recipes at home with my family.”
Another favorite pursuit for her and her family is traveling to visit relatives and going on family vacations. The couple also gets enjoyment out of supporting their children in sports and school activities.
Lisa spends any additional time giving back to the community. She enjoys being a member of the Junior League of Wichita, and she serves on the MLS Board of Directors.
It’s really fun for me to support local places and try new recipes at home with my family.
Lifting Others
Reflecting on her own career and substantial suc cess, Lisa offers helpful advice for others who are just embarking on their own careers in the business.
“One of the most import ant things you can do when you get into the business is find a men tor,” she emphasizes.
“It’s vital to have some one to talk with who will encourage you. It is a good idea to find a trusted person in the business who you can learn from by bouncing ideas off of. After 20 years, I continue to learn and ask questions.”
With her continued desire to learn and grow and her genuine level of care for others, it’s no surprise that Lisa Towle is a local pace-setter in the industry.
“I want what’s best for my clients and their family. Sometimes it means having hard conversations to tell them what I think is best for them. But that’s part of having a good, close relationship.”

Those who work with Ted and Lyndsay appreciate the full level of transparency and integrity that they get.
“I really like that aspect of it. We have great relationships with home inspectors and REALTORS® alike. It’s gratifying when a REALTOR® who has used us for sewer inspections calls and asks us to help them at their own property,” Lyndsay says.
“Trust is so valuable and we work really hard to earn that. Plus, Ted and I appreciate that we get to do this together each day. We get to hang out together and we enjoy each other’s company.”
“We make sure that we stay completely unbiased in getting people the proper information that they need,” Ted says.
“We are here to provide that informa tion. If we find a line that is broken, we will provide the report, but we will not provide the bid to fix it. In that way, we take ourselves out of the equation.”

MAKING MOVES IN LIFE
Tiffany was born in Wichita to her parents — Phil and Patricia Hisle. While she was very young, the family moved to Oklahoma. There she grew up in Norman, Oklahoma. In time, they moved back to the area, and Tiffany attended and graduated from Southeast High School.
From there, Tiffany attended Wichita State University where she focused first on Interior Design.
In time, she met and married the man she calls the love of her life — Heath Denny. They started their family. In the meantime, Tiffany embarked on an 18-year career at the Cancer Center of Kansas.
“I was a chemotherapy scheduler and it definitely was a learning experience with tons of great days and some sad sprinkled in there as well. The patients become family and friends and it’s just a unique experience that I valued very much. I had great supervisors and was blessed to have worked for some of the best oncologists in the area,” Tiffany remembers.
“After my sister was diagnosed, I decided I needed to step away and pursue a passion of mine and that was getting my real estate license. I
“That helped give me confidence and gave me a passion for open houses. I love doing those and have met several clients through them,” she says. “It’s a very inexpensive way to meet potential new clients. I also go door knocking and invite the neighbors to an early open house geared especially for them.”
Tiffany spared little time in making her presence in the industry known. She capped during her first year. During
her second year, she reached her goal of doubling that figure. In her third year, she again achieved a goal — this time qualifying for President’s Club. In 2022, she closed nearly $3.7 million in

“I started on a team with a great mentor, Robert. Then, after about 18 months, I went solo for about three months. Then I decided to join The Bishop Group which is where I still am presently,” she says. “Our team lead is Joy Bishop who has been so great to work with and such a good example for our team and for any agent in the industry.”
Tiffany is also thankful for her Transaction Coordinator, Dana Flagg.
“Dana is my right hand and helps me immensely. She is a huge asset to me,” Tiffany says.
