FUNCTIONS AND SUPPLIES
By-pass
Frost protection (Defrosting)
Filter
In ISOTHERMAL conditions (similar indoor and outdoor air temperatures) or where outdoor temperature is close to desired indoor temperature, the by-pass valve be activated allowing fresh air to by-pass the heat exchanger for natural ventilation (FREE-COOLING).
When outdoor air temperature and RH % can cause ice forming on heat exchanger, the frost protection valve automatically opens to mix up fresh outside air with indoor milder air. Simultaneously changes motor of speed via the electronic control makes the defrosting process quicker and more efficient. In particularly harsh climates Vortice recommends the installation of 500 W, 1200 W or 1800 W in-duct pre-heaters, available as a optional accessories; each are automatically activated by on-board electronics.
VORT PROMETEO PLUS RANGE is supplied with 2 F5 filters for cleaning fresh and stale air flows. A further optional F7 filter is available for additional filtering of the incoming air. An F5 filter box optional (not aviable for M and MP versions) is also available, for installation outside the machine. Filter efficiency is monitored by onboard electronics, providing visual and acoustic warnings via the RF remote control.
RF REMOTE CONTROL FOR VORT PROMETEO PLUS HR 400 Two-ways RF remote control with LCD display can be used for the following purposes: • Switching on/off. • Selecting the appliance operating mode (Manual/Automatic). • Easy initial setting of minimum and maximum speed (no need to directly operate the machine). • Selecting one of the 3 speed settings. • Manually selecting the By-pass function. • Setting the Timer function (the product, working in Manual mode, will work at the maximum speed for: 10’, 20’, 30’ or indefinitely, automatically slowing down to min speed after pre-set time). • Configuring the automatic operating parameters: - desired indoor temperature (for bypass management only) can be set by the user between +15 °C and +30 °C (each step 1 °C); - relative humidity can be set by the user between 40% and 90% (each step 5%); - Max. CO2 air concentration in the room can be set by the user between 500 ppm and 3.000 ppm (at step of 50 ppm); - CO2 level can be disabled. • Auto-diagnosis. Sanitisable air treatment unit fitted with all necessary devices to allow proper cleaning and accessibility to all internal surfaces. All sections are equipped with drainage basins and internal components can be removed. This allows proper maintenance and sanitising - features that make this machine unique. The steep slope of the drainage basins ensures perfect drainage of sanitising fluids and guarantees that there is no residual condensation. • • • •
6 models available: from 500 m3/h to 3000 m3/h. Each unit is equipped with a heat pump which uses R410A freon. All units are produced with a double pre-painted/galvanised panel with an expanded polyurethane filling (density 40 kg/m³). These plug-fans have brushless motors, evaporators and copper-aluminium capacitors, scroll compressors, electric control board management with remote panel, free-cooling shutters and an automatic cold weather de-frosting system.

Designed for residential, commercial and industrial ventilation applications as kitchens, bathrooms, offices, laboratories, factories, shops, laundromats, models, restaurants, bars, theatres, ballrooms, ect. • • • •
Appliances for ducted installations available in two variants (VORT QBK SAL ES and VORT QBK COMFORT ES) and 10 models, with different construction. VORT QBK SAL ES models share a frame in corrosion-resistant extruded al profiles joined by means of angled joints in die-cast Al, enclosed in galvanised sheet steel sandwich panels insulated with expanded polyurethane (EPU). VORT QBK COMFORT ES models feature galvanised sheet steel (sandwich) panels lined with soundproof mineral wool. All models are equipped with EC brushless motors (thereby ensuring low power consumption) driving centrifugal impellers optimised for maximum efficiency and low noise emissions.

Designed for situations where continuity of service is imperative, the appliances from the VORT TF series ErPare equipped with a pair of centrifugal fans which operate in alternation. The control logic switches automatically from one fan to the other, according to cycles of 12 or 24 hours, or in the event of a fault on the fan currently in operation. Single-speed fans suitable for control with electronic or auto-transformer devices, and designed for continuous operation between -15 °C to + 50 °C. Class B, external rotor motors with ball-bearings and IP44 protection rating. Forward curved centrifugal impellers made of galvanized steel, dynamically balanced (standard ISO 1940). The slope of the drain pan ensures perfect drainage of fluids and guarantees that there is no residual condensation. Structure of the unit made of anodised aluminium alloy thermal break profiles of 50 mm or 63 mm thick sandwich panels using stainless steel screws. These panels are rounded on the inside to prevent dirty residues and to aid sanitising operations. Plated internally and externally with thick, AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel sandwich panels. Sandwich panels insulated with mineral wool, which has a minimum density of 90 kg/mc, or injected polyurethane with a density of 40 kg/mc. The baseframe of the air handling unit is made of stainless steel and available in different heights to allow siphons positioning and the possibility to add adjustable feet.
