Modeled Flower Frame
Modeled Flower Frame Perspective
Brief & Concept
In this project, I led two other students in a competition; then, after entering the finals, I led a team of seven under the advisement of a professor. The site of the competition was a flower garden competition area within the Taipei International Flora Expo. We hope to build a graceful and peaceful garden like a dreamland. The large woven ball represents the moon. Its combination with a modeled flower frame is like wisteria surrounding the moon. The pool is like glass reflecting the moon and the colorful flowers above. In order to reduce carbon dioxide. the design makes use of recycled plastic bottles to decorate.

CORRIDOR SPACE DECORATION IN COUNSELING CENTER OF NATIONAL CHUNG HSING UNIVERSITY Area B
Brief & Concept
This is a school project I worked on as a freshman under the guidance of a doctoral student along with three Master’s students. It incorporated the concept of horticultural therapy as a means to guide disabled students in construction work. The site is located in a corridor within the administrative building corridor, the only way to enter the Counseling Center.
To provide a relaxing environment for counseling, we reviewed literature on attention restoration theory, and then designed the juncture between three corridors into such outdoor-like style as a natural garden and a Japanese rock garden, and achieved concrete results.

NANTOU BAIHAO TEMPLE OUTDOOR SPACE LANDSCAPE DESIGN AND RECOMMENDATION Brief
This is a project that my advisor assigned to me when I was a research assistant. The professor was helping with a temple project; at the time it was still in its conceptualization stage, with just a simple outline and preliminary model.
Boardwalk Meditation Area ①
Japanese Rock Garden
Meditation Area ②
Concept
The site is a temple in a mountainous area. Within the temple grounds is an outdoor space, which the temple management hopes to turn into a meditation area. Therefore, to match the temple’s wooden decor elements, I used wooden planks to form lines of motion between the first and second floors, and installed iron rods to from which lights or mosquito nets could be hung. In the middle is a Japanese rock garden design to provide a tranquil place for meditation. Meditation Area ② Presentation Drawing

JIN LIAN SHING BRICK TOURISM FACTORY PLANTING RECOMMENDATION Brief & Concept
This project was originally commissioned by the manager of a tourism factory, proposed to my advising professor. During my first year of graduate school, I was part of a team of three students assigned to carry out the project. Our team first launched an investigation of the natural and cultural environment of the site (a brick factory), looking at similar cases for reference; then we conducted a more indepth survey to gain a better understanding of the status quo. We found that the local hardware facilities were adequate. By using plants, we could beautify the interior of the factory and mitigate dust generation, and thus decided on plan-ting local or native plant species as a priority consideration.

Working Range

ALISHAN NATIONAL SCENIC AREA FORESTRY PARK MONUMENT DESIGN COMPETITION The Monument (Now) Presentation Drawing
Monument
Brief & Concept
The summer after my junior year, I headed a team of two students in a competition under the advisement of a professor. The site was located in the Alishan Scenic Area, known for its natural landscape and its history as a logging area under Japanese rule. The competition was launched in preparation for the centenary observance of the founding of the Japanese logging industry in the area.
The Monument (Past) Presentation Drawing
Our team decided to design a memorial, which would serve as the axis of the area, out of a metal structure; it would symbolize the old trees that dot the landscape, and would incorporate local natural and cultural characteristics. We used three different reliefs show the past (forested mountains), the present (tourism) and the future (sustainable development).
