We are Lucie Kaas
Lucie Kaas wants to bring a novel approach to interior design. We create products that aim to leave an impression and withstand the test of time. We work with ambitious designers who are forward-looking and dedicated to their craftsmanship. At the same time, we celebrate the forward thinking icons of the past. Together, they form our universe that challenges the traditional. It all began in 2012 and has resulted in a continuously growing range of interior objects for different rooms, occasions, people, and places. 03

Arne Clausen Collection
The Arne Clausen Collection is much more than a pattern from the past. It represents a tribute to an overlooked key player in the mid-century Scandinavian design scene. For decades, the true artist behind the iconic ‘Lotus’ pattern was a mystery. In fact, it was not until 2008 that it was revealed to be Arne Clausen (1923 – 1977). Working as a decorator for the Norwegian factory Cathrineholm, Arne Clausen drew the first sketches of the iconic ‘Lotus’ pattern in 1964. The ‘Lotus’ pattern remained Cathrineholm’s greatest selling product until the company closed in 1970. In collaboration with Clausen’s family, we reintroduced the iconic pattern in 2012 and have been expanding the collection with different items ever since. The variety of items within the collection underlines the versatility of Clausen’s ‘Lotus’ pattern – a design that can bear continuous reinterpretation even after so many years. 05

PickME
PickME is a multifunctional stool designed by Anna Karnov. Anna has a user-oriented approach to design, getting her main inspiration from the interaction between the customer and the piece of furniture. The name PickME is inspired by the opening found in the center of the seat making the stool easy to lift and move around. The combination of materials and functionality makes PickME an ideal piece of furniture that adds a touch of charisma to the home. 15

Meet Baby Bear, Mama Bear and Papa Bear. Together this cute trio form the charismatic little Bear Family. The design is inspired by woodcraft from the 1950’s and 60’s where personality was captured with just a few details. 16

Becky Kemp is the artist behind Sketch.inc, a whimsical world that fits perfectly into our unconventional approach to interior design. Inspired by geometric expression, Japanese illustration and Nordic aesthetics, Becky does character design and pattern exploration that takes creativity to a new level. Some designs are caricatured icons from the art, design and historical world as a celebration of influential cultural personalities, while others are born from Becky’s own fantasy. 21

Bordfolk
Whether a dash of color to the white shelf or an extra little guest at the kitchen table, the Bordfolk series of eggcups can only brighten the environment. Originally launched as homage to the same eggcups found on breakfast tables during the ‘60s and ‘70s, the collection has expanded since with updated patterns and colors. The latest addition - Bordfolk A-Z – is an alphabet series with a contemporary look designed by graphic artist Marie Willumsen. With their bright design and playful aesthetics, these little characters are sure to bring a smile to every table. 28

Gunnar Flørning Collection
A review of Danish mid-century woodcraft would be incomplete without celebrating the works of Gunnar Flørning (1932-2014). Though the name was unknown by many, Gunnar’s works were popularly sold under the name Laurids Lønborg during the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s. In 2012 we, in collaboration with Gunnar Flørning, re-launched many of his classic designs, stamping his name where it belonged – namely on the products born from his hands. 34

Matee
Matee is a merge between Eastern design traditions and Scandinavian minimalism. Manufactured in a family-owned factory located in a small village north of the Thai capital Bangkok, the products reflect a 40-year old design tradition native to this region. Inspired by the originality and craftsmanship of the ceramics, we have developed the Matee collection in collaboration with the family. The series consist of canisters and vases in different sizes and colors. Each product is carefully shaped and, as the family describes, hand decorated with the heart in mind. This approach makes every product unique with its own little story to tell. 41

Peggy
Functionality meets funkiness with the Peggy clip – a refreshing way of interpreting the classic wall hook. Designed by Japanese Megumi Ito, the Peggy clip challenges conventionality and encourages creativity from the user. Having lived and studied in many different countries, Megumi has formed her very own unique approach to furniture design. She is inspired by the impulsive elements of everyday life combining humor and functionalism. The Peggy clip is no exception with its quirky, colorful design that has a variety of applications limited only by the imagination. 47
Skjøde Collection
With an uncanny talent for carving objects out of wood and a strong sense for long-lasting design, Th. Skjøde Knudsen (1927-2007) represents Danish wood design at its best. Though exercised as a hobby in his spare time, the submission of his works to an exhibition at the Charlottenborg Art Museum in 1956 gave birth to full time dedication to the art. Due to the growing demand for his products, he opened his own factory in Skjern in 1960 leading to collaborations with Piet Hein as well as having his work requested by the Queen Margrethe of Denmark. We have given new life to his wooden ducks and rabbits designed in honor of the harmonious Danish nature. 48
