CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR ROAD SAFETY CURRICULUM REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
The Government of Belize (GOB) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) towards the cost of a Second Road Safety Project and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under a contract for which this invitation is issued. Payments by CDB will be made only at the request of GOB and upon approval by CDB, and will be subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement. The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. No party other than GOB shall derive any rights from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.
The Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment (MFEDI), the Executing Agency, now wishes to procure consultancy services for Road Safety Curriculum for the Second Road Safety Project.
The objective of the consultancy is to develop supplementary teacher curriculum resource materials for gender/masculinities and anger management; preparation of a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework for delivery of Road Safety curricula and conducting training of trainers for teachers. The duration of the assignment is expected to be over a period of twelve (12) months.
MFEDI now invites interested eligible consulting firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) indicating qualification and experience required to provide these consultancy services.

Progresso FC will challenge the defending champions Caribbean Rum Boyz in the Kevin Bernard 1st Division championship finals organized by the Orange Walk Football Association on Sunday afternoon, February 12, after both teams enjoyed victories in the semifinals at the Louisiana Government School field on Sunday, February 5.
In Game 1, Nazim Aldana’s 59’ strike was enough to give Caribbean Rum Boyz the 1-0 win over the San Jose Pumas FC.
In Game 2, Hector Carlos 79’ and Shamir Novelo 81’ secured Progresso FC’s 2-1 win, after Axel Alamilla 17’ scored first for San Antonio FC.
All 4 teams qualified to the playoffs by victories in the quarterfinals the week before, when Caribbean Rum Boyz had eliminated Louisiana FC: 5-1 with a brace from David “Hondo” Solorzano 81’ and 87’, and goals by Jaheim Augustine 28’, Alwyn Zelaya 50’, and Shane Morgan 75’. Only Armando Chirinos 48’ scored for Louisiana FC.
Progresso FC had advanced by eliminating last year’s sub-champions Guinea Grass FC: 2-1 with goals from Jair Novelo 22’ and Ronaldo Westby 43’, after Oswaldo Chan 13’ struck first for Guinea Grass.
San Antonio FC had qualified by eliminating Mi Gente FC: 3-2 with a brace from Rigoberto Cardenas 48’ and 68’ and a goal by Amilcar Alamilla 61’. Leonardo Can 37’ and Zender Ramirez 66’ scored for Mi Gente.
San Jose Pumas also advanced with a brace from Michael Rivas 47’ and 72’, eliminating San Jose FC: 2-1 with only Isaac Gillett 79’ scoring for San Jose.
