was born in Smyrna GA. She had a natural music ability and played

piano beautifully....She worked in the film/theatre industry along with her sister designing costumes in New York.

Father was born in Acworth GA.

His mother died when he was only three years old. When he was thirteen he traveled alone by train to CA to stay with relatives and attend school. He soon returned home to continue his education at A&M in Powder Springs GA current location of McEachern High School. His father Jim was a pioneer photographer, some of his personal photos can be found in the Vanishing Georgia Collection/GALILEO Initiative Digital Library of Georgia.

1862 and wife Susanna 1800-1874 were early settlers of (Atlanta) Marthasville. They had many children and resting in Atlanta Georgia. GGGrandparents Rebecka 1829-1905 and Marshall Elliott 1820-1888 are resting in Powder Springs ,Georgia .

pioneers of the area. They had eight children including a daughter Dixie, that died during infancy. The other children were Mary Adella 1862-1949, Gould B 1864-1944, Sylvesta(Vesta) 1867-1960, Jobe Carroll 1871 Hollis H 1876-1968, Noah Webster 1879-1950 and J Macauley(Mac) 1884-1943. Grandpapa Jobe was injured as a baby and only had use of one leg. He learned to walk with a peg leg.

Grandparents J C

Stokely 1858-1951 and wife M H Watlington 1869-1911

are resting in Acworth, Georgia alongside GGrandparents David Stokely 1828-1907 and wife Sarah 1831 Grandpapa JC Stokely was a wise, generous and kind man who lived to be ninety-three. He had eyesight problems that eventually left him completely blind in his seventies. He and wife Mary Houston had three children.

They made their home in Acworth GA. The Historical Stokely House still stands on Carnes Street next to the Post Office.

Cornelia Owen Stokely 1883-1952 is also resting in

Acworth with other pioneers of the area. "Miss Cornelia" as she was

called was the 2nd wife of JC Stokely. She was a loving, caring and kind woman who died peacefully in her sleep..
