why I chose to be a
W
hy not? I always wonder how can I contribute
something to this world during my life, although only a bit. During my school days until high school, I’m not good enough in study, even when I got good grades (rarely happen actually), I just did that to fulfill my obligations as a school student. At the 3 rd year of senior high, I just realize that I have interest in graphic design. Time run faster when I experimented with design than when I did my homeworks. I realize, this is my passion. After I realize that, I chose to be a Visual Communication Designer.

In today’s era, health has become an important part and fairly considered, but public concern about health still more limited to physical health, yet human beings not only have physical, but also has psychological health that needs to be taken care of. Fear is one of the basic human emotions besides happy, sad and angry. Fear is important for each person, because fear is a fundamental mechanism to defend and protect yourself from dangerous thing or situation. Phobia is different from ordinary fear and anxiety. Phobia is an irrational and excessive fear, which is an anxiety disorder problem. *

JAVA Musikindo known as a music event organizer which is quite large and has a lot of experience in organizing a music concert event for local and foreign artists. Java Musikindo established by Adrie Subono in 1994. JAVA Musikindo has the goal of showing “live entertainment” to support the increasing needs of entertainment in Indonesia. The form of JAVA Musikindo logo inspired from “sound” symbol. The meaning of the logo is totality, up to date and general (does not favor a particular genre of music). *

“Dapur Lokal” Festival TYPE

“Desa Sejahtera” is a social organization which engaged in the welfare of rural communities, particularly from the point of view of local food, so that’s why this organization is campaigning for “100% pangan lokal” (100% local food). This point of view is taken because food is one of the basic needs in life. Form of the campaign is an innovative local food festival. The festival consists of cooking demonstrations, workshops, innovative cuisine competitions and local food fairs. “Dapur Lokal” logo is a stilation image of “cobek” and “ulekan” (something like pestle and mortar), Indonesian kitchen tools. * “Desa Sejahtera“ logo wasn’t created by me.

Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (Yogyakarta special region) is a region of Indonesia, located in the south central part of Java Island and bordering with Central Java Province and the Indian Ocean. This interactive infographic consists of six parts to explore, namely “profil” (profile), “geografis” (geographic), “bahasa” (language), “penduduk” (population), “agama” (religion) and “galeri” (gallery). *

DAMRI is a government transportation corporate in Indonesia, which is stands for “Djawatan Angkoetan Motor Repoeblik Indonesia” (a motor transport department in Indonesian republic). The main task of DAMRI is to organize overland transportation with buses, trucks, etc. The challenges in redesigning this website is to make this website easier to use, because the old website hasn’t been good enough hierarchically and some features in this site doesn’t work. * DAMRI logo wasn’t created by me.

“Jesus fOr Youth” (JOY) is a Catholic Youth Community under “Komunitas Keluarga Kudus Allah” (KKKA), under the auspices of “Keuskupan Agung Jakarta” (Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Jakarta). JOY Community formed on October 31, 1998 in Fons Vitae 1 Senior High School with the vision to embrace and nurture the faith of junior and senior high school students. There are so many event in JOY community such as Praise ‘n Worship Rame2 (PWR), Retreat, etc. Publication division has been handling the promotion for JOY events. * JOY logo wasn’t created by me.

AR&Co is the South Asia’s largest augmented reality & (AR) and innovative technology company. AR&Co was founded in 2009 as a member of WIR Group, focusing on the brand, design and technology (especially augmented reality). AR&Co has been competing globally, as evidenced by several awards worldwide. I was an intern at AR&Co from September 2012 to November 2012 (3 months), and during my internship period, I learn a lot and got new awesome experiences. #01 Pilkada JakARta Pilkada JakARta is a game application for smartphones (Android 2.2 and up) that uses Augmented Reality technology. This application was made by AR&Co on the occasion of the local election which held on September 20, 2012. This application can be downloaded on Google Play site for free. This is a “matching-card“ game, the mission is to find 2 matching cards from 9 cards. Player will win the game if he/she can find the two matching cards of his/ her favorite candidate within the time limit. After they won the game, they can make a self-photo using the typical attributes (augmented reality) of their favorite candidate. You can download this application here: Game Icon and Main Menu

Once the design is done, the next process is slicing and then submit them to programming division. Slicing is a process to divide a single user interface layout into multiple image files as digital assets.

Besides the game interface design, a few items such as apps icon, thumbnail, featured image and AR tracking also need to be designed. Pilkada JakARta got positive responses from public, this application even reported in several forums and media, including kaskus, lintas.me, yahoo, techinasia. com, marketplus (marketplus. co.id), and many more.

#02 Cinemags AR Cinemags Augmented Reality application was made to welcome the latest James Bond movie “Skyfall“, which was released in November 2012 in Indonesia. This application can be played on smartphones (Android OS). This game can be downloaded on Google Play site and use the cover of November issue of Cinemags magazine as a marker/tracking

Game frame
The mission of this game is to shoot the enemies (villain) as many as possible within the time limit (60 seconds). Villains appear from the windows of augmented reality building. Player also have to be careful not to hit the hostages. Bullets are limited, but player can reload when the bullets are out. Once the game is over, player can share their score through social media such as Facebook and Bullets indicator and Reload button
Twitter or try to play again if not satisfied with the score.

#03 LA Lights Streetball Video L.A. Lights Streetball is a streetball basketball event, hosted by L.A. Lights on 12-13 October 2012 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta. This event was enlivened by AR&Co with Basketball Interactive Wall 00:07
Game and Basketball Augmented Reality Dribble & Freestyle Game. This game got positive responses from the visitors. This video was made to show the thrill of interactive wall game, the goal is to attract people to come to the next event while promoting AR&Co itself.
