Over the period of a month (30th September - 30th October) I recorded my sleep data.
Information I’ve recorded:
Trends
Current debt -13:34 Shortest nap 07:41 Longest sleep 09:10
I had my favourite lucid dream on the 20th October after trying this technique. I was riding a whale and controlling my actions. I think it’s a great thing to try if you’ve a lot of anxiety in your life too.
Trytophan is good natural alternative to take if you’re suffering from depression too.
What didn’t work
Mood boards I made a mood board of things I wanted to dream about. I looked at this page for about five minutes before bed with the intension of dreaming about some of the subjects.
Dream enjoyment after roller I noticed that every single night after I did roller derby I had little dream enjoyment or no dream at all I’ve made a chart to illustrate this.

This chart shows the dream enjoyment was all over the place in Dundee - ranging from 0-4. From what I can gather Almondbank (my granny’s house) was a good place for me to sleep as it’s in a quiet place. The Auchterarder chart is all over the place too but I think it was due to having a cold at the start of the month. If you want to have an enjoyable lucid dream it could be an idea to change the room you’re sleeping in to a quieter location.
Altering dreams through diet
I logged what I had to drink before bed to see if I noticed any patterns. It appears that when I go to bed after eating nothing I have a one star dream with little enjoyment. I have about the same enjoyment rating with ‘Oasis’ too. I seem to have had the highest rated dreams with ‘Lucozade’ (it must be the glucose).
