The idea behind the shoot came from a strong message I wanted to share. It came from a story I used to read when I was a child “LE PETIT PRINCE” from Saint-Exupéry. I focused on the episode of the flower.

The little prince invest a lot in caring of the flower. Previously in the story the fox’s statement is the following “love comes from investing in other people”. Even if in the story the rose is vain and naive the love from the little prince is very deep and sincere, due to the fact that he cares a lot for her. The message can be understood as even the most simple things can take a big value when the love we have for it is unique and sincere, this is why we tanted to put it in image.

The look of Anna the model has been carefully choose to remember the flawless look the princess had in all the stories of our childhood, flawless but strong and modern, that’s how we define our contemporary heroine !!

Also, this message in investing in other people is also something strong we wanted to put in the pictures. The bubble glass is showing a particular reality which can be differed if you go behind the glass. We wanted to do as a “mise en abyme” with the viewers and its point of view.

How far can you trust what your eyes see? Everything in our world of today is illusion and when Anna the model is behind the glass you discovered a new point of view.

Building the two sculptures of glass with the flowers in is a way to show that elevating the flowers as piece of art make them flourish and grow, it’s link again with the story of the prince to show that everyone is unique and deserve love.
