Take Part arts and literature event
Take Part arts and literature event
Welcome As a teenage boy in North Wales with a huge passion for performing, I never felt there was enough opportunity to discover every aspect of the arts. It was always down to the individual to research and source what ever they could, be it drama clubs, or singing lessons or dance classes, and never really fully understanding what it was all about, or what was worth investing time and money into. Projects like Take pART are vital to ensure every possible opportunity is given to young talent.
band, perform an opera, be a screen actor, or even work in a bakery, the arts encourage confidence and enhance general social skills which are invaluable tools in every aspect of work, socialising and life in general. I fully support this venture, I’m delighted it’s in North Wales and am proud to be associated with and a patron of take pART!
With reality TV talent shows dominating the small screen, over the past few years I’ve found that youngsters more and more just want to be famous and want to do it as soon as they possibly can. I am a firm believer in developing a craft and learning your trade, no matter what industry you’re in, if you want to be at the top of your game then you need training. Events like Take pART didn’t really exist when I was younger and I really wish they had. I certainly had the passion for performing and was willing to work hard, all I lacked was the guidance on how to develop it into becoming my career. I do so much work now to promote youth theatre in North Wales now and as a professional West End and TV actor, I try and pass on all the expertise and knowledge I have gained through my training and career to help young aspiring talented youngsters to push forward, work hard and achieve whatever it is they want to do in life. Whether youngsters want to be a in a rock
