Judith White is the Commodore of the Club in our 150th year, and our first female Commodore.

Judith comes from a sailing background, having sailed in both offshore and inshore racing, cruising and of course for just for pleasure. Her longest offshore race so far was the CORAL SEA CLASSIC, of which she was the Australian co-ordinator. She has sailed over 2,500 sea miles, and many a buoy race, picnic race and even a “Miss Figurehead” in Airlie Beach in her younger days.

During her sailing career in Australia, Judith has received both a Prime Ministerial Award for her work associated with the Women in Sport Taskgroup and a Premier’s Award for charity fundraising. She has also co-ordinated game fishing tournaments and the Queensland Masters Games.

On shore, Judith has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having managed hotels (pubs), trout fishing lodges, and her own hotel in Tasmania, Australia.
