DIAMOND SERVICE S.R.L. Since the foundation of the company at Caorso (PC), way back in 1973, Diamond Service has been manufacturing diamond tools for the stone, construction, and ceramic industries, thanks to an entrepreneurial idea by the present directors. Initially, in a shed in the countryside of Caorso, the company soon moved to its present more productive site. Since then the factory has been added to more than once to accommodate the rapid growth the company has, and is, experiencing. Over the years, Diamond Service, with its passion for the development of its products, which has distinguished it from the start, has progressively increased its portfolio to where it now covers the whole range. Also developing a series of strongly innovative products, still covered by patent. At the same time the company gave birth to extraordinary international expansion, opening over the years a series of joint ventures with local operators to better service certain markets.

Global Presence Diamond Service has strongly focused on a worldwide dimension, becoming a global reference point in the industry since the early years. Today, it operates on all five continents through a widespread network of agents and distributors, as well as a large number of service centers opened in collaboration with local distributors that enable them to provide immediate customer service. Wherever Diamond Service operates, costumers recognized the reliability and the ability to respond their needs thanks to the constant presence on the field of technical and commercial staff.

GANGSAW BLADE Gangsaw blades are used for the production of slabs of a wide variety of natural and synthetic stones such as marble, sandstone, basalt ... Diamond Service has been one of the first companies in Italy to produce this type of tool in the 1980s, developing and patenting for the first time the trapezoidal segments for cutting broken materials like Marron Emperador and travertines. Diamond Service do not only supply the blades, but thanks to the experience accumulated by its staff in the world’s markets, it is able to advise users on the best working parameters and possible solutions to problems that may arise during cutting.

Available steels Over the years to meet the needs of customers, various solutions have been developed in addition to traditional carbon steel thickness 3.0mm and 3.5mm: - Thin steels, to maximize the number of slabs that can be obtained from a block (today we work with steels up to 1.75mm) - Stainless steel, to minimize rust on the slabs, especially when working expensive white materials.

Dimension 180x1.75 mm 180x2.0 mm 180x2.5 mm 180x3.0 mm 180x3.5 mm 200x2.5 mm 200x3.0 mm 200x3.5 mm

Materials Carbon steel Ni steel Stainless steel

GANGSAW BLADE

Available Segments Diamond Service’ segments for gangsaw blades are conical and sandwich in order to optimize the segmnt’s consumption and minimize friction.

Trapezoidal segments 50/30 or 30/20 mm suitable for cutting broken materials such as Marron Emoperador and Travertine

Rectangular segments length 20 or 24 mm height 8 or 10 mm

Required Information for correct blade selection - Brand and model of the machine - Stroke and the number of cycles / minute. - Length, width and thickness of blades - Type of tensioner - Material or mix of materials cut - Number of blades - Spacer and slab’s thickness - Avarage and maximum size of blocks cut - Expected speed of cut

Speed and yield Down speed is a key parameter for the correct use of the diamond blade, if it is too high it can affect the cutting quality, if it is too low it can hinder the correct diamond replacement in the segment. Speed depends essentially on the type of machine on which the blades are installed and on the hardness of the materials cut. We always advise you to contact the Diamond Service staff for a correct choice. For reference we give some indication: Soft Medium Hard

DIAMOND WIRE Diamond wires are made of sintered diamond beads or electroplated diamond beads assembled on a steel wire and eventually cover with plastic or rubber. Diamond Service was among the first companies in Italy to produce sintered beads for marble quarries in the 1980s. Today diamond wires are used in a variety of applications, such as: - In quarry, for the extraction of all types of stone - In the factory, for the production of slabs through multi-wire machines or for blocks’ squaring and shaping through the monowire machines. - In building for the demolition of concrete structures, iron ...

Assembling typologies

Wire assembled with spring First typology in the history of wire, it is still used in marble quarries.

Wire cover with DS Rubber Special type of rubber designed by the Diamond Service that allows you to get to the end of life without any replastification.

DIAMOND WIRE

Diamond wire for monowire machine The diamond wire has long been used in the lab for a variety of functions, for framing blocks, for producing big thicknesses, for making special shapes, etc. All Diamond Service’s wires are first mechanically opened before leaving the factory. The available bead’s diameters range from 6.3 to 11.2mm

Diamond wire for multiwire machines Since the first Multiwire machines appers in the ‘90s, they have become standard in the production of granite slabs due to their superior speed, versatility and cutting costs.

Necessary information for the correct wire selection - Type and model of the machine - Mix of processed materials - Real wire length - Diamond bead diameter - Required working parameters (speed, yield)

DIAMOND WIRE

NEWS: DS RUBBER Diamond Service has developed an innovative rubberizing technology that allows the cable to work in the most extreme contexts without excessive damage and allows extreme flexibility in terms of number of beads per meter to best configure the wire to meet customer needs. With this innovative technology we can guarantee the customer to finish the wire without further plastification. Over the years, in order to increase the number of slabs obtained from each block, has been introduced wires with ever smaller beads. Today the Diamond Service range is as follows: - Ø 5.5mm - Ø 6.3mm - Ø 7.3mm

NEWS. DIAMOND WIRE FOR MARBLE MULTIWIRE Over the past two years, Diamond Service tested wires for cutting marble’s blocks, and today we are able to offer a wire with beads diameter 6.3mm specific for this application.

Diamond wire for quarries The introduction of the diamond wire in the quarries has allowed a significant increase in the efficiency and the safety, making it the most commonly used solution nowadays. Diamond wire for marble quarry Depending on the conditions, two types of beads are used: - Electroplated: more suitable for contexts where higher speed is required or with low power machines. - Sintered: more suited to contexts where longer durability is required.

Diamond Wire for granite quarry Granite quarry’s wires are generally assembled with springs and rubber in order to protect the wrist cable and allow the wire to reach end of life without being restored.

DIAMOND DISCS

Discs for saws Diamond Service has a wide range of discs for different commercial machines, from the oldest flagsaw machines to the most modern 5-axis machines. The range includes discs for all different stones and synthetic materials based on quartz or resin; Discs are available with sandwich silenced steel (YY), with laser silenced (YYL) or standard steel. We have two types of slot:

Wide slot (N - Type) Discs with greater spacing between the segments, allow greater cooling, recommended for granite discs and marble discs above Ă˜650 mm.

Narrow slot (R - Type) Discs with less spacing between sectors, allows for better quality of cut, recommended for marble discs up to Ă˜625 mm.

DIAMOND DISCS

Disks for block cutting machines (mono and multi discs) Diamond discs for block cutting machines for the production of strips of both marble and granite. They can be mounted on mono-disc or multi-disc machines, with or without horizontal disk. Diamond Service produces discs for other applications in the stone field, such as discs for splitting machine, for cross cutting, for topping, etc.

Technical recommendation for the usage of diamond discs 1. Cooling: Except for special cases (i.e. cut with angle grinder) it is very important to work with the adequate quantity of water (see the table below).
