TOBE REPORT NOVEMBER 2015
COLOR INSPIRATION S/S 17’
“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. - Coco Chanel
NOTE FROM THE EDITOR The ar tist Paul Klee once said “color is the place where our brain and universe meet”, and he could not be more right. Color is something that affects us everyday and it is everywhere: the color of the sky, the color of the city’s buildings, the colors of the flowers that we see everyday, the colors of clothes and the lipstick that we chose to wear that day. All of them give us an impression, it manipulates what we think, refers to a memory, evokes a mood and bring life to the objects. They speak for themselves, without needing a single word. Another season is coming, and with it another color palette. Changes in the fashion industry are increasingly faster and this industry is looking for inspiration everywhere. This color repor t brings four different themes: Candy Land, with the sweetness and femininity of the pastel tones; Electric Wave, with vibrant colors to mark the best summer’s moments; Natural Effect, with the purestand truest aspects of nature; and last but not least, Dark Vision, bringing power and mystery for the hottest season of the year. As Wassily Kandinsky said, "color is a power which directly influences the soul”. I hope this color repor t will influence yours.
Enjoy,

NATURAL EFFECT
The Natural Effect color palette draws its inspiration from nature and its landscapes with its range of neutral and minimalist tones. These basic colors that refer to skin tones, accentuate the softened structure of tailoring, allowing the attention of the garment be directed to the shape and the structure of the piece. Demonstrating elegance and sophistication, nudes are brown-tinted and have a vintage look, bringing warmth to summer neutrals.

DARK VISION
This story explores the dark summer days with a romantic and dramatic aesthetic. Dark Vision brings a dramatic and opulent direction, with rich embellishment, and inspires a dark and flamboyant story. This drama is apparent in colors such as nightshade, an almost-black purple, and shale, which hovers somewhere between black, brown and grey. The effect is similar to looking at colors with the lights off.
