For the past eight years I have been working as a head designer / creative director of the most exclusive and disruptive brand in the mexican design scene called Namuh Namuh rose to critical acclaim for being the first brand to marry Asian antiques and art-objects with a new wave of Mexican eclecticism birthing the company’s distinct signature style of neutral earthy tones that prominently feature reclaimed wood, rich ochre textures, and delicate metalwork. I had the opportunity to start the design area at the company in order to create locally our own products and concept following the DNA of the brand Since then Namuh studio has been acclaimed by the press and invited to being part of important design fairs and exhibitions around the world.

XEEK Inspired by the natural beauty of materials and traditional techniques, Heek chair was made for expert artisans living in rural communities in Yucatan, México, to make beautifully handcrafted products using local plants. The main aim of this project is to design-high quality Mexican products with a strong focus on promoting social and environmental well-being in their communities in order to help keep the talents of these artisans alive, who have learned their techniques from generations of mothers and fathers, by refining their skills into contemporary sophisticated wares. Xeek is at once modern and a statement piece. Namuh Studio in collaboration with Agela Damman
