he session is over now. A lot of things have been learned, many new faces met, old friends seen and some new friendships created. It is the regular cycle of EYP. If there is anything that I can write here, it is that no matter if this is your second or third session or like mine - the thirtieth, there is always room for improvement, you can always learn something new from someone new and this is what EYP is all about. Self-development. Do not be afraid to admit to yourself or even to others that you do not know everything - because you do

not. This is the beauty of teams and what makes them successful. A team isn‘t made up of one individual, one that somehow knows absolutely everything. A team is made up of many individuals that are puzzle pieces that fit together to form a picture that represents the goal that each and everyone is working for. In the media team‘s case it was trying to be the spirit of the session and to create the memories for the participants. In the EYP as an organisation, it is to promote the values that we all hold dear to us as Europeans. Each session is one of these beautiful puzzle pieces that create the picture we all work for. So all I ask of you - in a world that is trying to tear itself apart, that is trying to create artificial divisions to benefit a minority - I ask of you to create unity instead of division. We‘ve worked so hard to get where we are now but for us to reach new heights we need to be strong and united. Respect the people around, learn from everyone and everything and strive to become a better self. That is what I‘ve learned from EYP and I hope that you‘ve learned something too.

.As we already showed you in the welcomevideo, wewerevery fond of this beautiful city hosting the NSC ..Salzburg 2018. We .therefore want .to show you some more unusual but breathtaking perspectives we captured amidst all the excitement of the session.

Your Story Suddenly, Spongebob Squarepants appeared, I picked him up and, like it was the most normal thing in the world, started cleaning myself. As soon as I was done, I started to run up and I once was locked in a down the hallway, trying to unschool and this is my story... derstand what was happening to me. During the session, we asked all committees to contribute one sentence to a common fantasy story - here we present to you „Your Story“

I felt my heart pounding and sweat running down my face as I opened my eyes, only to see that I was lying in a sleeping bag with my alarm next to me. It was five forty-five a.m., time to get up.

ging a high-pitched „Hallelujah“. As the bodyguard tripped and fell, the yeti flew through the air, somehow managing to keep on singing. He touched down face first onto Christian, the Head-Orga. When The yeti got back on his feet, he suddenly believed to be the president of the session, which I was apparently attending. The yeti screamed at the top of his lungs: „Beds, rooms, showers, internet and outlets for everyone!“ The people started cheering and I joined in until it suddenly stopped and everything fell silent, only the shrill sounds of a siren in my ears.

Your Opinions - Visualised Project by Marvin Huber

Role Reversal “The child’s name can be Avocado!!” No, this wasn’t the sentiment of a staunchly millennial parent, but rather the gleeful exclamation of an EYP delegate at the Salzburg national session. On Friday evening paired committees worked tirelessly to create a short film, shot on their smartphones, with members of the media team. The rules? Simply incorporate three of the following words into the film: Time, Mirror, Yellow, Avocado and Goose. After extensive discussions about the script and the usual ‘iPhone versus Android’ squabble, the delegates quickly transitioned from European scholars to Hollywood producers. Armed with only a phone camera and their wit, the teams were forced to battle with multiple retakes, an improv script and an ever-decreasing time allocation. When the actors, writers and videographers had finished with shooting, the editors chopped

and changed the shaky footage into masterpieces that would rival the work of Spielberg or Tarantino. In the end the team I oversaw had captured a gripping tale of a family burdened with tragedy, love affairs and the ‘backpack kid’ dance, complemented by the audio of a Mozart concerto! In true EYP spirit the delegates, with little time and resources, each made something creative, effective and inclusive.

Their films are a hilarious, but powerful, demonstration of what team-work, creativity and Europe’s youth can and will achieve. written by Alan McLoughlin

In these strained and tense times it is crucial to every now and then clear one´s body and ...... .....mind. What.... ...better way... ...to do so than couple yoga, an activity where you literally build bridges with each other?
